According to the Assembly Members in the Manhyia South, there has been a high demand from citizens for the installation of streetlights in areas within the Kumasi metropolis.

They said that, residents were concerned about the absence of streetlights at some major streets, and was a situation they attributed to crime-related incidences in the communities.

It was indicated that, the gesture by the Manhyia South MP came as a relief for the Assembly Members since there has been mounting pressure on them for the provision of such facilities.
