Vincent Kwaku Osei was known in the music industry as Strongman has revealed that he and Medikal of AMG business are no longer 'beefing' as people still believe.

Winner of the maiden edition of the Next Big Thing in GH Rap music, Vincent Kwaku Osei, known in the music industry as ‘Strongman’ has revealed that he and Medikal of AMG business are no longer ‘beefing’ as people still believe.

It could be recalled that the two young rappers were at war some months ago after Medikal was awarded best rapper of the year at the 2019 VGMA. They went on to battle it out to see who is a better rapper between them.

They even went further, to record ‘diss’ tracks before they eventually repressed their beef as they apologized to each other and capped it with collaboration.

In an interview on the Late Night Celebrity Show, Strongman made it known that he and Medikal are no longer at loggerheads and that they had resolved their differences.

“Medikal and I are cool and no longer beefing”.

The two proved this by releasing a song titled “Bossu”. But in the music video, it still showed that both rappers were still beefing with each other.

In the bid to defend himself, Strongman disclosed that every rapper has an ‘ego’ and will deem himself as the best and so that was what manifested in the music video but, it looked as though they will still beefing. He believes that, despite what everyone thinks, they shot the video as two rappers shooting their music video but, it is the perception of some Ghanaians that, they are still beefing.

“Rap comes with ego, and everyone sees himself at the best. So when you leave Eno she will tell you she is the best, Sarkodie will tell you I am number one, Teephlow will tell you I am number one. It’s ego… It should be like two rappers shooting a video. The reason why people still think we’re beefing is that we released the song immediately after the beef and this is Ghana. People will just conclude based on what they’ve seen that’s why people think we’re not cool” he added.

Asked if Medikal was part of his top 5 list of favorite rappers in Ghana, he replied in the positive and went ahead to list them in this manner:

“Strongman, Sarkodie, Eno, Medikal, Teephlow, and between Lyrical Joe and Armerado”.

He went on to note that, the fact that he has had altercations with some of the aforementioned rappers, he deemed to be his ‘top five rappers’, does not dispute the fact that they are excellent at what they do. Therefore he will not discredit them because of what has happened in the past.

“That is why I am saying I just love to ‘spit’ how I am supposed to say it. I don’t want it to look like I am having a ‘beef’ with Medikal so, based on that I’ll say he is not a good rapper. No that should not be it, you get where I am coming from. All the time you just need to be honest with yourself. Those people are ‘dope’ and great rappers”.
