Ghanaian musician, Sefadzi Amesu, popularly known as Sefa has come out to debunk rumors that her boss, Dblack, has been pimping the lady artists to rich men in his club.

Speaking in an interview on an Accra based radio station, she made it clear that the speculations are nowhere true and warned the public against spreading such rumors.

Sefa further posited that DBlack is a very cool boss who has and will never force any of the ladies signed to his record label, Black Avenue Musik, to do anything against their will.

She also added that there has been nothing such as pimping business, going on undercover in DBlacks clubs be it Onyx or Oasis, but the only thing they [lady artists] share with their boss is business and a very good relationship.

“It is not true at all that our boss, Dblack has been pimping us. It is a very negative rumor and people should stop spreading that. As I said earlier, we are not kids over there, and so if someone is asking you to do something, you have the right to either say, yes I am going to do it or, no I am not going to do it”.

She further expressed that the speculations might have come up because, at Black Avenue Musik, the artists are left to their own free will and they also express themselves freely and this is therefore making people spread rumors that their boss is pimping them to other men.

“You have to understand that we are like a family at Black Avenue Musik. I feel like it is because at Black Avenue Musik, the ladies there are free, we express ourselves a lot, and we do what we want to do. We are not put under any bondage to this or do that. So, people think that because we are given that kind of free will, we are being pimped, and because we are very free with our boss people think he is pimping us to other men in the club”.

She further added that, if truly her boss was involved in that act, then, she would not have been at this stage that she finds herself right now since her boss rolls with a lot of big shots.

“I was just telling him that if I was really doing that kind of thing, I would have arrived at your studios with a plane, I would not even be here, I am telling you, because, my boss doesn’t roll with small boys”.

Meanwhile, just yesterday, Dblack announced the temporal closure of one of his business ventures due to some changes that have come up, due to COVID-19.

In a post sighted on his Instagram page, the CEO of Black Avenue Muzik, announced the temporal closure of Oasis Lounge.

He emphasized that management is putting in measures that will guarantee the safety of patrons amidst the Coronavirus outbreak.
