, Pappy Kojo's 'Logos II' album that he just released is currently ranking as the number one album on Apple music.

Pappy Kojo, a Ghanaian musical artist and entertainer.

Ghanaian award-winning rapper, Pappy Kojo has revealed that he is a die-hard fan of legendary Ghanaian hip-hop rapper Obrafuor.

Speaking in an interview, the ‘Ay3 late’ hitmaker disclosed that he grew up listening to Obrafuor every time. He further mentioned that on the international front, he looked up to rappers like 50Cent, D12, and Eminem.

“I am a huge Obrafuor fan. Sometimes I even watch his interviews… I studied that guy; people don’t even have an idea about it”

When asked if he has been able to collaborate with Obrafour to record a song, he answered in the negative. He said, “I feel he is old and I fear that when I rap with him, I might ‘spit’ some unfiltered words and that won’t be nice. Regardless I can never stop loving Obrafuor”.

However, he noted that he has made several moves to perform with the veteran rapper, Obrafuor.

“During ‘Ghana meets Naija’ about four-five years ago, the plan was to bring out Obrafuor. But I heard he wasn’t feeling very well”.

Speaking about the Grammy awards, the Fante rapper noted that he will win two Grammy Awards in 2022. He further averred that failure to achieve this will see him quit music, he vowed.

“Next year I will win two Grammys for Ghanaians- Best Album and Best New Artist. If I don’t win those two Grammys, I will quit music. I have psyched myself to get it. It’s already in my bag. I am saying it again if I don’t win, I’ll quit music”.

Pappy Kojo recently disclosed that he will be permanently staying in Takoradi. Speaking on that issue he said what influenced his decision is because he realized the people of Takoradi need his help.

“I think the people in Takoradi need me. I am there to render any sort of help to anyone in need. Be it financial or another thing: hospital bills, school fees. Just hit me up on my social media handle and ill be at your service… I am dead serious about it. I really help a lot of people, it’s just that it doesn’t come out”.

Speaking about his first album, LOGOS II, which he recently released, he posited that he made a conscious effort to connect the songs with his fans especially, those in Takoradi.

“This is my first album and I thought about how the album should sound like. So, in 50 years to come if the name Pappy Kojo comes up, you will connect to where he is from which is Takoradi. Who I am today is because of this city [Takoradi]. I learned everything here and I love Takoradi very much”.
