Efia Odo has averred that the police won't stop citizens who are demanding a better livelihood from protesting on 9th May 2021.

Ghanaian media personality, Efia Odo

Ghanaian media personality and actress, Efia Odo and the other conveners of the #FixTheCountry protest have had a meeting with the Minister of the National Security, Honorable Albert Kan-Dapaah, and they have hinted at carrying on with the May 9 protest.

However, the police in a letter noted that it can’t accept their request to protest since it could be a “super spreader of COVID-19”.

In a series of retweets and tweets, sighted by The Vaultz Media (TVM), Efia Odo;noted that the Minister for National Security said that their notice of protest was “the best, most detailed and comprehensive notice they have ever seen!”.

Convener of #Fixthecountry protest vows to protest even if it takes a year

It can be recalled that TVM reported that Efia Odo posted that the police won’t stop them from protesting. She observed that if the police didn’t stop the leaders of the country from holding;campaigns when COVID was still highly prevailing, then they have no excuse to stop them from also protesting.

That notwithstanding, one of the conveners of the #FixTheCountry protest, Joshua Boye-Doe;who started the trending hashtag in an interview posited that he won’t stop protesting until the leaders do the needful. According to him, he doesn’t want the issue to die out without the leaders;solving the problem, therefore if it will take him a year to protest, he will do so.

“Until the job is done I cant feel like a hero the hashtag;can die any moment and we will be back to square zero. We want to see results… if I am supposed to spend one year of my life to make sure we get results, ill do that”.
