The O2 Arena set to admit full capacity

Also, Anna Parry, who is the Programming Manager at The O2 said: “We’re ecstatic;that the ‘Welcome Back’ shows will kick off the arena returning;to full capacity this August with global superstar Burna Boy.

“He’s been a trailblazer in the music industry and we can’t wait;to hear him fill the arena with his feel-good hits, providing a much-needed antidote to this past year”.

Speaking about the O2 Arena, it is one of UK’s biggest and best venues;for live music, shows, and exhibitions, with a 20,000-sitting capacity.

It is worth mentioning that due to the pandemic, the Arena was closed. However, it is now opening to welcome back the crowd as part of the government’s Events Research Programme (ERP), which is designed to test a number of measures to examine how events can take place without the need for social distancing.

Steve Sayer, VP and General Manager of The O2 explained: “We’re ready to welcome full capacity crowds back to The O2 again, and The Welcome Back Shows are going to bring so much joy to fans who have been missing us almost as much as we’ve been missing them.

“We have created a truly spectacular program of events to reopen the venue, and 2022 looks set to be our busiest year ever”.

Nonetheless, the London concert will be the first leg of Burna Boy’s ‘Space Drift Arena tour’. He will later proceed to Los Angeles in October, Paris, and Amsterdam in November for the rest of the tour.
