Ghanaian comedian and film actor, Derrick Kobina Bonney (DKB) has stated;that he disagrees with President Akuffo Addo when he said he is the;most verbally abused political leader in Ghana so far.
In a viral video on social media, DKB claimed that if any political leader;has been most verbally abused then it will be former President John Dramani Mahama. According to the comedian, former President Mahama;suffers this verbal abuse even to the extent that the mere mention of his name;especially in Kumasi, will call for a rain of insults. Therefore, President Akuffo Addo should “relax” because his is nothing compared to Mahama.
“His excellency Nana Addo please relax… I read a story and you said you are the most abused President… then if you are the most abused President, then what will Mahama say. See John Mahama suffers a lot especially in Kumasi. Just at the mention of his name, you will hear people insult him. Even if it is something that has nothing to do with Mahama, they will still relate it to him. John Mahama has really suffered at the hands of Ghanaians honestly. If Mahama should tell you his story then;you will realize you are one of the most pampered President”.
DKB notes other celebrities who are verbally abused
DKB also noted that there are several other people;who are even more verbally abused in the country. According to DKB, there is a tall list of well-known Ghanaian people including;himself, who are constantly verbally abused than the President.
“When it comes to verbal abuse, you are last;on the list because there are a lot of people on that list. There are other several people on the list before you [President Akuffo Addo]. Wendy Shay and Shatta Wale are way ahead of you. Even me, people are always talking about how my head looks. Patapaa was verbally abused by Ghanaian women and that even made him marry a white lady. So, as for verbal abuse ranking, Nana, you are nowhere on top of that list”
