Big Brother Naija winner, Hazel Onoduenyi, popularly known as Whitemoney, has stated that he would win a Grammy award in a year’s time.
The reality TV star who doubles as a musician made this known during an interview where he was asked to predict the future of his music career.
Responding to the question, Whitemoney said: “By this time next year, I’ll get a Grammy ‘Insha Allah’. Name all the big awards you can think about, Whitemoney is going to win a few of them”.
The BBNaija season six star, who recently released a single, ‘Selense’, stated that he was already receiving hate comments, as fans compared him with past housemates of the show.
Whitemoney further noted that there’s a trend he has observed on how most fans are of the view that every Big Brother housemate who comes out wants to venture into music. Counteracting this assertion, Whitemoney emphasized that before his Big Brother fame, he was already into music but like most upcoming artists, he never had a platform to showcase his talent.
Social Media was set in a state of frenzy few hours after Whitemoney debuted his song, ‘Selense’ on Monday 6th November 2021.

Some fans who could not hide their displeasure over the music video advised the reality TV star “not to spend his N90 million Big Brother Naija big prize on music”.
A fan, with the Twitter handle @taiwoalabiho2, said: “Whitemoney, don’t waste that fund on music. Thank you”.
Another fan with the Twitter handle @lloydtweetz appealed: “Yeah, Whitemoney needs to focus on opening a fast food, never let him in the studio again”.
@Just_Cleverlyy supported the claim above saying: “Something wey Whitemoney suppose open restaurant with, he go open studio begin sing”.
@Tunde4L noted: “Music is not for everybody, Whitemoney should know that by now”.
@2muchdrag opined: “I think Whitemoney’s song sounds better with earpiece”.

However, others were of the opinion that Whitemoney deserves all the accolades for coming up with such a “beautiful song” as against the condemnation accorded the song by some social media users.
@Olubankoleidowu: “Encourage him I don’t think it is that poor for a start”.
@DefaultCj: “I saw the Whitemoney trend and decided to listen and watch the visuals of his new song Selense. Like how do people derive so much joy in trashing other people’s hard work? No problem if you don’t like the song but don’t spoil it. His message was clear, production perfect, visuals perfect”.
@Chydee: “All of you saying mean stuff about Whitemoney’s song are liars. Unless it’s banter, which is rather unfair. The song is actually a bop. Might not be a monster hit (yet) but ‘e tap die'”.
@Miss_hotchic: “325k views in 3 days thus 100k per day, at this we’ll reach 1million in 7 days. Haters are wailing (laughs) hoodlums are streaming (laughs) thus music to my ears”.
@Olubasanjo_: “Encourage Whitemoney I don’t think it is that poor for a start”.
