Olalekan Balogun, the Managing Director and CEO of UBA Ghana, accepted the award and praised GTP for being in a long-standing relationship with them and how they have collaborated to expand UBA’s market penetration.

Prepaid cards, Mr. Balogun said, are extremely handy and secure to use, but they are less common in Ghana. The United Bank of Africa, Africa’s Global Bank, is one of the few banks that offer prepaid cards. The UBA Visa Prepaid card is EMV Chip approved and comes with all of the power, convenience, security, and prestige that Visa has to offer.

Mr. Balogun added that the card is now meant to serve two types of entities: individuals and businesses. Corporate Expense and Co-Branding are the two options available under corporate.

The UBA Prepaid card, which is equipped with a number of fraud detection and prevention features, can reduce fraud to a certain extent. Every transaction requires a pin because the card has a chip integrated into it.

The card features a transaction velocity limit, which prohibits the user from going over their spending limit or making too many transactions in a short amount of time.
