As netizens continue to backlash Yul Edochie for his announcement of a second wife and a new son, his father and veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie, has reacted to the issue.
According to news sources, Pete Edochie outrightly banished Yul’s newly found second wife, Judy Austin, from entering his household.
Pete averred that in no way does he support Yul’s action since he only recognizes May as the only wife of Yul. He noted that marrying two wives does not confer a manly status on anyone. Pete, who publicly endorsed his son, Yul, for the 2023 Nigerian presidential election, noted that marrying more than one wife simply means, “one is ready to suffer and breed confusion among his generation”.
“I want the whole world and Nigerians to understand that as an Igbo man, I never support my son’s actions and as a statesman, I only Recognized his first wife as the only authenticated wife of my son, the rest is banished from entering my household”.

The veteran actor, who seemed to be extremely displeased with the actions of his son, spoke about a worrying attitude of Yul. Pete quoted a proverb that suggested that Yul doesn’t listen to him.
“I’m not shocked that he has a son without my knowledge. A child that doesn’t listen to his father ends up cutting his or her life span short,” Pete Edochie said.
Yul Causes Another Stir
Yul, on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, welcomed a son with his “second wife”, Judy Austin, who is also a Nigerian actress. The actor made the announcement on his Instagram page where he shared pictures of himself and the newborn son.
Today, Thursday, April 28, 2022, Yul again caused a stir on social media with several people questioning what his agenda is. Yul showered praises on his wife via his verified Instagram handle. The actor shared two lovely pictures of May and captioned the post, “NUMBER ONE. @mayyuledochie. Undisputed”.
Several commentators who didn’t find Yul’s post pleasing backlashed him severely for having “the audacity” to post May after what has just happened. Meanwhile, others noted that May should be “the one and only” and not just the “number one”.
Well, Yul is not the only one who is being criticized by several sympathizers of May. The woman, with whom Yul had the baby is also receiving her own share of backlash. Some even rained insults and curses on her as they noted that she will face the same dilemma someday.
Judy Austin is an actress in Nollywood and producer of two Nollywood movies; ‘Native Girl’ and ‘Fear’. The actress, producer, director, and business owner is famous for her role in her movie, ‘Native Girl’. It is worth noting that in 2018, Yul Edochie assisted her in the production of ‘Native Girl’, which he also featured in. Judy has also featured in so many other movies in the Nollywood industry.
Per reports, she started acting when a friend, Sylvester Madu, urged her to give it a try on account of her good looks, and that was how she entered the movie scene. She officially started acting in 2013 and 2018, produced her two movies.
