Ghanaian Reggae artiste and media personality, Blakk Rasta, has called out some event organizers for disrespecting him by offering him only weed after he has performed.

According to Blakk Rasta, this attitude by some event organizers show that they have taken him for granted and requested that they put an end to it.

“I come with a full band set to rock the people with full energy, two hours I’m on stage like a mad lion, then I finish and you say: ‘all Rastaman need is weed’. They give you raw weed and transport and tell you to go after the show,” Blakk Rasta lamented.

Blakk Rasta added that the most hurtful aspect of the matter is that, the same organizers pay other artists who “only mime” on stage more than 500,000 Ghana cedis, but when it gets to his turn, they deny him of what he duly deserves.

“Look, I make some of the best songs in the world but wickedness and greed will not let people gravitate towards you,” Blakk Rasta said.

This issue stemmed from a statement Blakk Rasta made earlier. Recently, Blakk Rasta shockingly revealed that he has never smoked marijuana although he advocates for its legalization. According to him, people are ignorant about the benefits gained from marijuana and therefore condemn people who use it, something that needs to be a thing of the past.

“Wee is not about going mad, wee is not about smoking. If I tell you what I use wee for you will be shocked”, Blakk Rasta said at the time.

Blakk Rasta, has asserted that it is an unwise decision for Ghanaian leaders to be jubilating over the free COVID- 19 vaccines that is currently being administered.

Blakk Rasta Cautions Black Sherif

Meanwhile, Blakk Rasta cautioned that if Black Sherif isn’t careful, he will become a one-way artist. According to Blakk Rasta, he sees Black Sherif as “someone who has a certain grace moving with him” because a lot of people have released better songs than ‘Kweku The Traveler’, yet it is making waves than those songs.

Blakk Rasta noted that he has listened to only two songs from Black Sherif and they both sound similar. He stated that even though similarities don’t make the songs the same, if Black Sheriff doesn’t take care, he will become a “one-way artist”.  Blakk Rasta, therefore, advised Black Sheriff to take advantage of the grace in his life and learn from the mistakes of others in the industry so he doesn’t repeat the same mistakes ,so he becomes great.

Meanwhile, Black Sherif’s ‘Kwaku The Traveller’ song is still breaking boundaries and setting enviable records. The song produced by Joker Nharnah which was released a month ago has garnered over 75 million audio streams and digital streaming platforms.

Among the feat of the trending song which is showing no signs of pausing include, being number 1 on Apple Music Top 100 Nigeria and Ghana respectively. The song is the number 1 most Shazam song in the world.
