In a dialogue, the fuels marketing head of Goil, indicated that fuel prices will be reduced from GH¢16.10 to GH¢15.85 as Christmas bonus to their cherished customers.

“From tomorrow morning, we’re going to reduce the price of diesel, from the GH¢16.10 to GH¢15.85, just to give something away to our customers as a Christmas gift or present.”

Augustine Boateng

The Fuels Marketing Head made this statement while commissioning the Ayigya Goil Station at Oforikrom Municipality today, Wednesday, December 21, 2022.

“So from tomorrow onwards, at all GOIL filling stations, the diesel price is going to be changed to GH¢15.85. Yes, it’s true.”

According to Mr. Boateng, GOIL will work at eradicating this challenge, in his own words, ‘anomaly’. This was after some customers complained about being cheated at the stations when they went to buy fuel.

“We’ve received a lot of messages or complaints from our customers that most of our stations sometimes, the attendants shortchange them. We want to do away with this or we want to eradicate those anomalies in the system.”

Augustine Boateng

Mr. Boateng encouraged customers to go on to report awkward occurrences at the stations to the managers in charge.

No changes in Petrol Prices

Speaking however concerning petrol, Mr. Boateng disclosed that petrol prices will be maintained since they wanted to be at par with their competitors.

“The petrol is okay, it’s GH¢13.40. Looking at others, yes we’re competitors. So for Super, for petrol, for gasoline, we want to maintain or stay put on that price from tomorrow onwards, but for diesel, we’re going to have some changes.”
