Duke And Duchess Chased By Paparazzi Photographers

Duke and Duchess of Sussex were being chased by Photographers, nearly causing a fatal crush to the car.

Following a charity event in New York, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, were pursued by photographers in their car. The mayor and the couple’s office described the situation as potentially dangerous. The incident immediately drew comparisons to Harry’s mother, Princess Diana’s, 1997 fatal car accident.

The New York Police Department has not released any statement about the said incident, to corroborate the statement of the royals.

It was “reckless and irresponsible” for individuals to be following people in cars, in the heavily populated metropolis, according to New York metropolis Mayor Eric Adams. Mr. Adams said, he is yet to receive a full briefing about the incident. He also stated that “two of our officers could have been injured.”

The office of Harry and Meghan stated in a press release that, the pursuit “resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians, and two NYPD officers.” I called the incident “near catastrophic,” the statement said.

“While being a public figure comes with level of interest from the public, it should never come at the most cost of anyone’s safety,” the statement said.

the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, at their honeymoon, after their wedding.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, tied the knot in 2018, at the Windsor castle. The couples however, have since 2020, step down from their royal duties, citing various reasons like racism of some members of the Royal Family, biased of the British media towards them.

Moreover, the anger of the Duke of Sussex has been building for years, blaming the media for his mother’s tragic death, and also harassment of his wife. As part of his mission to clean the British media, Prince Harry has summoned three British tabloids to court, for suspected phone hacking and unlawful spying. Meghan, on the other hand, prevailed in a lawsuit for breach of privacy against the Daily Mail publisher in 2021.

Notwithstanding, security for the couple has become a concern, since they moved out of UK to live in California. The British government has since stripped off the security details of the couple, and it features in three of his legal cases against the government and the tabloids.

The pursuit took place on the very day that Harry’s attorney contended in London court that, he should be permitted to contest a ruling by the government, refusing him the ability to pay for his own police protection in the UK.

During a short stint to the UK in July 2021, Harry claimed his privacy was “compromised due to the absence of police protection,” when his car was pursued by photographers as he left a charity event.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, traveled to New York to honor the Ms. Foundation Women of Vision Award, alongside LaTosha Brown, the co-founder of Black Voters Matter. The dinner marked the beginning of the foundation’s $100 million 12 months fundraising initiative. The money would be used to carry out its objective of enhancing the collective influence of women and its equity-centered programs.

Harry and Meghan were seen exiting the Manhattan Ziegfeld Ballroom and boarding an SUV.  Another report claimed, the pair were stuck in traffic, in a yellow New York City taxis, while they were filmed through the windows by paparazzi. Their cab was being escorted by NYPD patrol cars.

The event marked Meghan Markel first public appearance, since she absented herself from the coronation of King Charles III, in order to stay home for their son, Prince Archie’s fourth birthday.
