Bawumia Is A Joker- Amaliba

Abraham Amaliba

Abraham Amaliba, the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC’s) Director of legal affairs, claims that no presidential candidate put out by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in 2024 will be able to compete with those of his party.

He claimed that even with the best rider in the world, the NPP “horse” is too feeble to help the party win.

When discussing two of the front-runners for the position of President, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia and Alan Kyerematen, Amaliba said on Friday, May 26, during the opening of the ruling party’s nomination process, “Ghanaians will look at the economy and not who will be the candidates when they go to the polls in 2024.”

On Vice President Bawumia, he said: “You see him, you see lies. You see him, you see a joker.” However, regarding Alan Kyerematen, Mr. Amaliba claimed that the former Trades Minister did not hold the government accountable for the economy’s mess. He added, “He sat too long. He has been smeared. He needs to rebrand and that will take him another four years.”

The NDC official asserted that whoever represents the party is irrelevant to the NDC, so long as the NDC garner votes.

He claimed that families have been killed as a result of government policies and actions. He insisted, “This government has blood dripping in its hands.”

The NDC also said a claim by Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumai that “NDC built only two factories but the NPP has built over 150 factories” is a lie.

“The claim by the Vice President is a barefaced lie. For the records, the erstwhile NDC/Mahama administration established strategic, high priority State-owned factories that anchored growth in key sectors of the Ghanaian economy.

“We must hasten to point out to the Vice President that if his so-called 150 factories claim relates to government’s poorly-implemented 1D1F program, then he needs to educate himself and cure his own ignorance about the nature of their so-called 1D1F initiative. This is because, none of the said 1D1F factories, was actually built by the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government.”

NDC

The NPP starts the selection process to choose its standard bearer for the election next year on Friday, when nominations are opened. In all likelihood, the party will hold its primaries on November 4 on a Saturday.

Nana Akufo-Addo Salivating To Return To The International Market

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has come under fire from National Democratic Congress (NDC) legal team member, Abraham Amaliba, for his rash decision to enter the international market, just a few days after enrolling in an IMF program.

His remarks followed the President’s declaration in Qatar that the Extended loan Facility (ECF) from the IMF will be utilized to repair the economy, so it may access more loan facilities on the global market to assist some initiatives it has already started.

Amaliba claims that this begs the question of why the President is rushing to apply for loans, just days after implementing the IMF program.

“Recently parliament was recalled to approve loans. And it is your borrowing that has led us to this. The President two days ago, said he was so eager for us to back to the international market, what for? Is it because your cousin, the finance minister gets 10% from the borrowing and that is how come you quickly go back there? What is the problem? You are in an IMF program, the program has not even rolled up to three months and you are already salivating to go to the international market”

Abraham Amaliba

Attorney Amaliba went on to explain that President Nana Addo is not a person whose words can be trusted.

“So all in all, a President who talks but does not walk the talk. A President who does not believe in what he says and a President who can’t be trusted, when he says what he says.”
