I Never Engaged In Vote Buying In Assin North– Rev Ntim Fordjour

Reverend John Ntim Fordjour

Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, the Deputy Minister of Education, has declared his approval of the suspension of Ekow Holman, the housemaster of Quaque House in Adisadel College (ADISCO).

He voiced concern over the headmaster’s lack of attention in handling such a situation. This comes after a student from Adisadel College was brutally assaulted by a fellow student, as shown in a widely shared viral video.

Though the students initially claimed that they were only playing and someone got harmed, Rev. Fordjuor thought it was careless of the housemaster to not look into it the more. He made it clear that he agreed with suspending the housemaster while additional inquiries are being conducted.

He emphasized once more the significance of giving the victimized student first priority.

“The victim should not face any disciplinary action, and I will ensure that the decision to suspend him is canceled. He has already endured significant harm, and it is crucial that he receives the necessary help and support during this difficult time.”

Rev. John Ntim Fordjour

Recognizing the significance of education and mental health for these children, Rev. Ntim Fordjour guaranteed that even though the other students implicated will remain on suspension, they will still be permitted to take their examinations and receive the necessary psychological care.

He said on the involvement of law enforcement, “I expect the school’s authorities to fully cooperate with the law enforcement agency and allow them to carry out their investigations effectively.”

Tthe Deputy Minister of Education gave a comforting update on the condition of the victim who was featured in the widely circulated video, depicting an assault at Adisadel College (ADISCO). He was able to confirm that the victim is doing well, after doing extensive medical examinations. He also emphasized the victim’s parents’ engagement and assistance during this trying time.

Rev. Fordjour emphasized the Ministry’s dedication to safeguarding the student’s health and safety by saying, “I personally accompanied the victim to the hospital and made sure he underwent all necessary medical tests.”

“The parents of the victim were present and saw that their son was doing well. I met with them, and they are in good spirits, despite their initial anger over the incident. They were asked to remain calm.”

Rev. Fordjour addressed the larger problem of bystander culture and advocated a coordinated effort to stop such behavior.

“Beyond this incident, we must put an end to the culture of bystander inaction. It’s crucial that we actively promote a culture of responsibility and care within our educational institutions,” he asserted, urging for a more secure and encouraging setting for all pupils.

The swift and thorough response from his team, according to the deputy Minister, shows how seriously the ministry is handling the situation and working to safeguard the safety and justice of all students.

ADISCO PTA Chairman Sends Out Message

As stated by Reginald Nii Ayi Ashong, the PTA Chairman at Adisadel College (ADISCO), parents are coming up with a variety of proposals, in the wake of the unsettling assault that occurred at the school.

The PTA Chairman highlighted that in order to address the matter without having a negative impact on anyone affected, careful decision-making is required.

“We need to sit back and take decisions that won’t have negative consequences. This incident is deeply concerning, and we must handle it with utmost care.”

Reginald Nii Ayi Ashong

He added that they are actively brainstorming to take into account the ideas parents make, while they wait for the Ghana Education Service (GES) to make a final decision.

The occurrence however, has caused tremendous alarm and it is being taken very seriously.

Regarding the Attorney General’s decision to pursue the case, Mr. Ashong stated that the engagement of the Attorney General’s office is justified, given the assault’s potential for criminal activity. He argued that everyone had a responsibility to handle these situations, regardless of their status or background.

In light of this occurrence, Mr. Ashong urged parents to play a more watchful and responsible role in their kids’ life, by making sure they are not given privileges that could have negative effects beyond the home.

Despite this, he urged everyone to have a productive conversation without using their comments to harm the school’s reputation.
