Owusu-Bempah chastises Professor Gyampo and Professor Kobby Mensah

The Deputy Director of Communications for the ruling New Patriotic Party, Ernest Kofi Owusu-Bempah Bonsu has criticized Professor Kobby Mensah and Professor Ransford Gyampo for their malicious persecution against the New Patriotic Party.

Even though, he noted the importance of the study of politics to humanity particularly in areas such as the study of elections, reform of electoral systems, party funding, decentralisation, devolution, constitutional reform, and public management reform among others, he believes the two professors’ criticisms of the NPP are baseless.

Mr. Owusu Bempa also believes that dozens of political scientists are often limited by their reliance on existing data sets, hence he finds the rantings of Prof. Ransford Gyampo and Kobby Mensah relating to Alan Kyerematen’s decision to step down from the NPP race as very disingenuous.

“These two political science lecturers along with a lack of clarity on basic questions and lack of commitment to the scientific method have been at it for a while now, churning out misleading propaganda and dishing out half-baked political and dystopian views that Alan Kyerematen is breaking away from the NPP”.

Owusu-Bempah

He chastised the two academics on their claims that Mr Alan Kyerematen’s decision to step down from the party’s presidential race was due to his ambitions to contest as an independent candidate in the 2024 General Elections.

In his view, the two professors epitomize the terrible errors that political scientists commonly make about politics.  He emphasized that both Professor Gyampo and Professor Kobby Mensah have demonstrated a boringly repetitive and regular basis that they are generally ignorant of what they communicate and have no interest in political science in its true sense, except to say it is only a tool that they use to bamboozle and frighten their targeted audience.

He questioned the professors why they both lost their voices when Dr. Kwabena Duffuor stepped out of the NDC Presidential race.

Mr Owusu-Bempah criticized the selective amnesia, blindness, prejudice, and shallow thinking that has infected most of the so-called experts and described it as a terrible problem which ought to be eschewed from political discourse.

Owusu-Bempah Charges Professors To Tell The Truth backed by Data

He accused the two professors of propaganda which always takes precedence over the facts and described it as intolerably disgraceful and deceitful.  He averred that their tendency to create controversy is to always purposefully mislead the public to sell their influence and contends that such behaviour would be considered criminal in any other sphere of commerce and calls on well-meaning Ghanaians to condemn their ramblings as partial, partisan, and ignorant.

According to the Deputy Director of Communications of the NPP, over the years, the likes of Ransford Gyampo have failed to develop precision of thought and economy of expression, which means they mostly meander around with jaundiced and disjointed reasoning. He believes such traits do not indicate the hallmark of political scientists but self-opinionated dogmatists with dystopian views.

He therefore cautioned them to exhibit the traits of political scientists, who always speak with authority and uphold the responsibility to tell the truth backed by data in the spirit of honesty.

He also recounted the wisdom that has been espoused by the likes of Prof Balfour Agyemang Duah, Prof Gyimah-Boadi, Prof Mike Oquaye and the like, and describes them as the real political scientists and calls on the two professors to emulate them.

He believes strongly that Mr Alan Kyeremanten’s decision to withdraw from the party’s presidential race has nothing to do with him breaking away from the NPP as he is a bonafide party member whose loyalty to the NPP remains unflinching.

He, therefore, advised the two professors to disengage from sheepishly throwing their professional credibility and intelligence away for the proverbial swine to trample upon, than to continue threading on such a slippery road.
