EC In Bed With NPP To Rig Election 2024 – Osman Ayariga

Ghana Police Must Arrest NPP National Youth Organizer – Osman Ayariga

The Deputy National Youth Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Osman Ayariga has accused the Electoral Commission of Ghana of conniving with the ruling New Patriotic Party to rig the 2024 General Elections.

Mr Ayariga alleged that such plans are orchestrated through the ongoing limited voter registration exercise.

He intimated that the Electoral Commission in collaboration with the New Patriotic Party has intentionally deployed faulty machines to NDC’s strongholds to suppress votes in the 2024 General Elections.

“The Electoral Commission is deliberately assisting the corrupt New Patriotic Party to rig the 2024 election and we will resist it. They can be on the same corruption bed for as long as they want but we in the NDC will not allow them to rig the 2024 elections. That will not happen in this country and they can be assured of that.”

NDC To Be Vigilant to Avoid Rigging

Despite the party’s lawsuit against the Electoral Commission, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has stated that it will closely watch the ongoing limited voter registration exercise to foil any conspiracy between the Electoral Commission and the New Patriotic Party to prevent any potential rigging in the 2024 General Elections.

Speaking to the media, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, stated that party members are paying keen attention to the exercise to make sure that the EC is not manipulating the process.

“We are ready, very ready but we care for the poor registrants who must cater for the costs and constraints of being registered to vote. We currently have our agents and officers in all 268 district offices of the Electoral Commission countrywide and we are keenly and actively monitoring the process”.

Asiedu Nketia

Mr Asiedu Nketia emphasized the party’s dedication to preventing the Electoral Commission and the New Patriotic Party from tampering with the process of limited voter registration to favour the incumbent party.

Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the party’s National Chairman, charged the Commission on Tuesday with making it challenging to register voters in the party’s strongholds.

Over 1.3 million people who will turn 18 after the most recent voter registration exercise are the target of the continuing limited voter registration.

The 21-day exercise started on September 12 and is expected to end on October 2 (Monday).
