I Almost Got Involved In Occultism – Wendy Shay

CEO of Rufftown Records, Bullet and musical artist, Wendy Shay

Ghanaian singer/songwriter, Wendy Shay has opened up about her journey in the music industry and her encounter with occultism, saying she might have ventured into it if not for her meeting with her current manager, Bullet.

The “Heaven” hit-maker, shared her experiences and revealed that upon her return to Ghana from Germany, she had embarked on a quest to find a higher power.

“Around 2020/2021, I wanted to find spirituality for myself,” Wendy Shay explained.

Delving into occultism as part of her spiritual exploration, she clarified that she didn’t go too deep into it, instead, she had been in contact with her grandfather, who had expertise in such practices.

“I wanted to start practicing those things, but then I met Bullet right when I really wanted to get deep into those things,” Wendy Shay further added.

According to Wendy Shay, Bullet had advised her to attend church with him before signing her to Rufftown Records as an artist. He explained that for her star to shine, she needed to align herself with his power, which he identified as the light of Jesus Christ.

She admitted that initially, she attended church with Bullet for the sake of being signed as an artist. However, she had an encounter during one of these church visits when the Holy Ghost just arrested her.

She further explained that her decision to settle with Christianity in her quest for spirituality stemmed from the challenges she faced in her life and the music industry.

“Because of the things I had faced in my life and in the industry. It opened my eyes to the spirituality of this world, we all know how crazy the industry is, there are so many dark forces here. So I knew I had to find protection, and that was God,” she said.

Healing People With Music

Wendy Shay shared that she still cares for people, even though she no longer practices nursing as a profession.

The Ghanaian singer who is a trained nurse and previously worked in the nursing field in Germany, has transitioned to a successful music career in Ghana.

She revealed her commitment to helping people through her philanthropic endeavors and even stated she heals people with her music.

“What is nursing? Taking care of people. I don’t do it professionally, but I’m still a nurse. I take care of orphans, I take care of less privileged people. I take care of people through my music; I heal people. I’m always going to be a nurse. Basically, I love to help everyone,” she explained.

Wendy Shay’s career took off when she was signed to Rufftown Records by manager Bullet in 2018. Her debut song, “Uber Driver,” became a massive hit, propelling her to stardom in the Ghanaian music industry.

Wendy Shay revealed details about a near-fatal accident she experienced and shared her thoughts on who might have been behind it. Wendy Shay explained and described the accident.

“I was heading home; I had finished creating some content for my new song, ‘Every Man Cheats.’ I had gotten to my junction, and all of a sudden, I felt a big push from behind. I remember all I was screaming was Jesus, and then I entered into a gutter. I didn’t even realize when my head hit the dashboard, and I realized I was blacking out, so they had to rush me to the hospital.”

Wendy Shay disclosed that she sustained injuries during the accident, including a nasal bone fracture and inflammation on her face. However, after undergoing medical checks, she was doing well. She also confirmed that her Personal Assistant who was in the car with her had survived the accident without any injuries.

Reflecting on the incident, “It was a very big shock, no one saw this coming. For me to be here, it’s by God’s grace,” she expressed.

However, Wendy Shay made a surprising claim, suggesting that the accident was not a natural occurrence but rather a spiritual attack. She insisted that she knew who may be responsible for the attack and that they were trying to blame her manager Bullet for the incident.

“Those who wanted to kill me, they know themselves, and they’re trying to put it on Bullet. It wasn’t Bullet. It wasn’t a normal attack. What I can say is that they know themselves, but I am not going to mention their names. But they can never kill me,” she stated.

To prove her claim, Wendy Shay questioned the circumstances of the accident, saying, “People were saying, ‘Oh, it’s the wrangler,’ but how can a big tipper truck loaded with rocks hit me, and the tipper truck somersaulted, and my car was rather intact?”.
