Global Info Analytics Tips Mahama To Win 2024 Elections

According to the Global Info Analytics, an independent opinion research firm in Ghana, the National Democratic Congress flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama is tipped to win the 2024 General Elections against the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Mr. Alan Kwadwo John Kyerematen, the leader for Movement for Change.

In its recent survey published, the Global Info Analytics predicted that the former President and the National Democratic Congress flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama would win the 2024 General elections against whoever the New Patriotic Party will present in the 2024 General Elections.

“For the 2024 general election, the poll shows JDM leading with 48.3%, followed by Dr Mahamudu Bawumia (DMB) with 28.0%, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen with 11.3%, the other candidates attract 3.4%, 3.7% will prefer someone else and 5.4% are undecided. However, in the race between JDM, KOA (Kennedy Ohene Agyapong), AKK and others, John Mahama leads with 48.0%, KOA attracts 27.2%, AKK, 11.4%, others, 2.8%, someone else, 3.5% and undecided 7.1%”.

Analysis of the poll also suggested that out of the 6.7 million people who voted for President Akuffo-Addo in 2020 General Elections, 1.4 million now intend to vote for John Dramani Mahama while another 1.0 million will vote for Alan Kyerematen.

In the New Patriotic Party November 4 National Delegates Conference, the poll predicted that the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will emerge victorious against the Assin Central Member of Parliaments, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong who is his main contender after the withdrawal from the race by the former Trade and Industry Minister, Alan Kyerematen.

“In the NPP race, DMB is preferred by 44%, KOA, 35%, Dr Afriyie Akoto (DAA), 2%, Francis Adai Nimoh (FAN), 2% and 16% are undecided. However, among NPP sympathizers, DMB leads with 62.4% and KOA, 32.2%, DOAA, 0.85%, FAN, undecided 3.9%. Among floating voters, DMB has 29.0%, KOA has 45.1%, DOAA, 2.1%, FAN, 2.3% and 21.5% undecided”.

President Akuffo-Addo Receives 32% Approval Rate In Global Info Analytics Polls

The opinion poll by Global Info Analytics further indicated that the President Akuffo-Addo’s job approval has taken a nosedive after making a recovery in the July poll. Whiles 32 percent of Ghanaians approve of his performance as president, 65 percent disapprove and 5 percent did not have an opinion.

According to the polls, 70 percent of voters believed Ghana is headed in the wrong direction, whiles 23 percent believed it is headed in the right direction and 7 percent% did not have opinion.

The poll also showed that 47 percent of voters believed their standard of living has worsened in the last 12 months whiles only 18 percent said it has improved, with 30 percent said it has not changed and 5% have no opinion.

Again, the poll showed that the Inspector General of Police, Dr George Akufo Dampare has the full support of Ghanaians as 61percent said they have confidence in the way he is performing his mandate while 28 percent have no confidence in his performance with 11 percent have no opinion.

However, the poll also showed that only 49 percent of voters have confidence that the Ghana Police Service will be able to manage the 2024 General Elections with 37 percent have no confidence in the police with regards to the 2024 elections while 15% did not have opinion.

On whether voters have confidence in the Electoral Commission, 50 percent of voters said they have confidence in the elections management body with 39 percent have no confidence in the body and 11 percent did not have an opinion.

Additionally, when voters were asked if they share the view that hoarding of cash, as highlighted by Cecilia Dapaah’s case, is an isolated case or widespread among politicians, 65 percent of voters said it is widespread, only 22 percent said it is an isolated case while 13 percent did not have opinion.

According to Global InfoAnalytics the poll had a sample size of 6,423 voters who were cross-sectionally selected and polled from 82 constituencies in all the sixteen regions in the country between September 21 to October 1 2023.
