In a continuous altercation that has erupted over the week between afrobeat star, Kwami Eugene and his maid, Mary; she is allegedly kicked out of his house.

Mary shed light on the challenges she faced while working for the popular highlife artist.

According to her, Kwami Eugene initially paid her 400 cedis, which was later increased to 600 cedis after two years of service. However, due to unforeseen circumstances and misunderstandings, the High-life artist allegedly kicked her out of his house.

Mary’s claims include a strained relationship with her former boss, citing issues with salary, late errands, and insufficient food supplies.

She further added that she used to faint during her stay at the artists’ house and Mary’s mother also claimed that her daughter, after being sacked from Kwami Eugene’s house, returned with an unidentified sickness that left her in a coma for a while.

Also, the former house help disclosed that she’d been met with several threats from Kwami Eugene’s camp, particularly from his school father, whom she identified as ‘Father’.

Mary asserted that Father placed a call to her, cautioning her that it was in her best interest to quit granting interviews.

It can be recalled that Kwami Eugene expressed admiration for his maid and also featured her in his TikTok videos and songs.

Kwami Eugene had a wonderful relationship with his maid, Mary, that extended the Boss-employee relationship and even threw a birthday party for her to appreciate her for her support in his life.

Although Kwami Eugene has not issued an official statement regarding the allegations, even though, Mary is still granting interviews, it appears that he has carved a response for his maid in a new song titled ‘Onyame ehu wo’.

As it stands now, who is telling the truth?

The song captures mixed emotions of regret and disappointment, broken heart among others. He spoke about how God’s punishment usually awaits such persons.

“In whatever you’re doing, remember God is watching you. Rememeber God is watching you if you are fond of embarrassing your fellow human, spewing lies and backbiting them. God is watching you,” he sang.

“Think about it. If you will change, change because God is watching you, You act as though you love me, but in your heart you hate me. What didn’t I do for you? But you’re going round talikng about me. Spewing lies about me. What you are doing is one of the things God hates the most,” parts of the lyrics read.

Prior to the development, the artist took to Twitter to share an indirect jab at his house help, with a response which read ‘Nipa bi y3 cobra’ an Akan phrase that translates to ‘Some humans are snakes’.

Some Netizens Take On The Unfolding Saga

The afrobeat star, Kwami Eugene’s maid’s allegations have sparked a wide-ranging discussion on social media with some celebrities sharing their take on the ongoing saga.

The saga is seen having some supporting Kwami Eugene with others claiming that he is stingy aside all the money he is making in the industry.

In an Instagram post, the ’16 years’ hitmaker, Mzbel, suggested that Kwami Eugene should hire a nanny instead of a maid. She explained that a nanny would be better equipped to handle the responsibilities of caring for a household, including cooking, cleaning, and laundry.

Akuapem Poloo also shared her take asking if it is easy for someone to take one in and feed, cloth and give the person shelter.

She asserted that those granting the interviews should stop because it is not the best.

Broda Sammy, Gospel minister, after analyzing the house help’s disclosures and unfolding events, he concluded that the maid was sent to destroy the highlife musician, adding that he is convinced that Mary is evil and people with special grace like Kwami Eugene are usually their target.

Television personality, Afia Schwarzenegger descended heavily on Mary, describing her as an ungrateful human being.

She further continued that Mary even had the chance to hang around some popular celebrities simply because she accopanied Kwami Eugene, adding that all the artist got in return was ungratefulness.

She concluded citing that the main reason people treat housemaids in a bad way is because of how ungrateful they are.
