Former BBNaija Housemate Nina Ivy has taken to her Instagram page to express her disapproval of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie’s recent venture into the ministry.

Yul Edochie, a popular Nollywood actor, recently launched the True Salvation Ministry, where he assumed the role of the head pastor.

The actor, who is also the son of veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie, conducted his first virtual teaching as part of his newfound ministerial duties.

The event garnered attention from netizens, with many turning up to witness Yul Edochie’s foray into preaching.

However, Nina Ivy did not mince words in her criticism, asserting that the actor is experiencing a mid-life crisis.

She questioned the authenticity of Yul’s calling, stating that, unlike others who are called by God to serve, Yul Edochie seemingly called himself to the ministry.

Nina Ivy went on to label the Nollywood actor a “clown,” expressing her strong disapproval of his recent venture into the ministry.

In related news, Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie kept to his word and hosted his first online church service yesterday, 28th January under the newly found, True Salvation Ministry.

The movie star who assumed the title of a pastor preached the word of God for over one hour, praying for listeners and advising them on the right path.

Yul’s switch to ministerial work undoubtedly came as a big surprise to people, causing them to troop en masse to his YouTube to hear what he heard to say.

Holding his maiden service, he shared his journey into the ministry and how others had told him of his potential for God’s work. He narrated how he was saved from a devastating car accident along Ore road which was the moment he fully accepted his calling.

Advising Actor On Importance Of Getting Life In Order

Writer and life coach Solomon Buchi, advises actor Yul Edochie on the importance of getting one’s life in order before answering God’s call.

Solomon Buchi shared these words with Yul Edochie regarding his decision to embark on a ministerial journey.

In a post he made on his X handle, Solomon Buchi questioned Yul Edochie’s spiritual father, his church, and who disciplined him.

He remarked that the actor had been involved in adultery and polygamy for some months, rendering him ineligible to preach the gospel until he sought total repentance and recovery.

He stated that even though the actor has gone through a lot in recent months, he requires intensive psychiatric care because the pretense of ministry isn’t helping him.

Acknowledging that God can call anyone to serve him, Solomon Buchi highlighted the significance of self-reflection, and inner stability as prerequisites for effectively embracing a spiritual calling.

“Yul Edochie is making a caricature of the Christian faith. From cheating on his wife, getting another woman pregnant and being caught, to claiming polygamy is normal and okay, and now to open a ‘ministry’ claiming God called him. No doubt, God can call anyone, but there’s a whole structure to the logistics of starting a ministry. Who is Yul Edochie’s spiritual father? What church does he even currently attend? Who discipled him?

In the past months, he’s been involved in adultery and polygamy, which the Lord can forgive, but why is his ministry launch so close to a vulnerable season, for which he needs repentance and healing? Yul has been through quite a lot in the past months, and he might need intensive mental care. This charade isn’t helping and all he needs is Jesus and reflective time to morph into a better man. It’s hard to tell if his ‘ministry’ is sarcastic or real, but whatever it is, it is still embarrassing to the Christian faith. Get your life and family together first, Yul”.
