Actress Explains Preference For Running Some Of Her Businesses Private

Actress and Entrepreneur, Fella Makafui has opened up about some businesses she owns which she is keeping out of the public eye.

The industrious actress stated that per past experiences she’s been through; she prefers to keep four different businesses she currently owns private.

Fella mentioned that her decision stems from the challenges she faced with her business established in 2017.

“I prefer to keep them private, the rest of my businesses. I kind of learned from my mistakes because it [My Beauty by Fella Makafui business] did not work for me, it did not go the way I wanted it, the reason why I have to keep some of my businesses private.

“It did not really go well the way I wanted it. Then, I was everywhere and so I’m like if everyone knows me, let me just do something. I expected more support from my colleagues and people who knew, it does not work like that in Ghana. I wanted the business to go in a certain light that I think did not work for me.”

The entrepreneur brought to light that the collapse of her wine shop led to the change of keeping her life out of the public eye.

The actress and filmmaker emphasized that her new strategy is currently paying off much better.

“Yes, it has worked for me. Crazy, I’m not even capping,” the actress replied when inquired if she’s making a good return with her new strategy.

According to Fella Makafui, she has learned from her past mistakes.

“The new me wants to just keep things private; the old me enjoyed the limelight. I’ve just grown over the past years. The then Fella wants to probably just be all over the place, I want people to know what’s up, and what’s going on in my life. I have so much growth that I just want to keep certain things very very private.”

The filmmaker advised that it is very important to keep things very private.

Fella Makafui disclosed that she makes a lot of money online, stating, “90% of the money I make is online. Don’t underestimate the power of social media.”

Fella Gifts Herself With Luxurious Watch

In March this year, actress and entrepreneur Fella Makafui showered herself with a luxurious Santos de Cartier watch.

The actress in an Instagram post said, “Ain’t nothing wrong in spoiling yourself” as she unboxed the Cartier watch in a video posted online.

Her post garnered admiration for her lavish lifestyle with many fans amused by Fella’s gift for herself.

Fella Makafui disclosed that she acquired the watch for an amount of $8000 equivalent to GH¢110,800.00 at the time of publication of this article.

Cartier is a Swiss-made luxurious watch although the Founder of Cartier watches is French.

According to Cartier’s official website, the price of the opulent watch starts at $7,750 (GH¢101,129.44), and it goes up from there depending on customization options like strap, case size, material, etc.

Discussing her new movie titled ‘Resonance’, Makafui stated that she sacrificed her desire to purchase other luxurious gifts to allow her to save enough funds for her movie production.

According to her, she is the Executive Producer and Producer for the movie.

She noted that she had wanted to get herself more luxurious gifts in addition to the Cartier Watch during her trip in March but after further discussions with her team about the production of ‘Resonance’, she had to forego the other gifts.

Fella Makafui is currently on a media tour promoting her movie, ‘Resonance’ which is set to be premiered on May 11, at the Silverbird Cinemas at Accra Mall and West Hills Mall.
