Afia Schwarzenegger Berates IGP

Afia Schwarzenegger

Afia Schwarzenegger has publicly criticized the Inspector General of Police for not addressing the persistent disrespect that celebrities face from online users.

During a TikTok Live session with Shatta Wale, the socialite voiced her frustration over the IGP’s failure to fulfill his commitment to combat cyberbullying, a promise made in a previous meeting with Ghanaian celebrities.

Reflecting on the October 2023 meeting, Afia labeled it as ineffective and absurd, expressing her dissatisfaction with the IGP’s lack of action against cyberbullying.

“Remember the meeting we had with the IGP? That stupid gathering? He assured us that cyberbullying would be tackled. But Dampare, he infuriates me. His demeanor resembles that of a lost child on a soccer field.

“He never speaks truthfully! What has come of that futile meeting? Seriously, I don’t know why they have not fired Dampare. I don’t know why that man is still there. Ghana is not safe because of him. He is more interested in his appearance, in publicity, and nothing else.”

Shatta Wale chimed in on the matter, noting that speaking out often leads to being labeled disrespectful.

Afia countered by highlighting the principle of mutual respect, questioning the self-respect of the country’s leaders, and drawing parallels to biblical teachings on respect between parents and children.

This outburst from Afia comes amid what she describes as relentless attacks on celebrities by media personalities and critics.

She previously condemned the invasive probing into celebrities’ private lives during interviews, which she believes has reached the level of harassment.

Afia also commented on the ongoing public discourse surrounding the separation of Fella Makafui and Medikal, criticizing the attention their private matters have received on social media.

Afia Schwarzenegger, known for her outspoken nature, launched a scathing attack on MzGee following the aftermath of her controversial interview with Medikal.

In a live video, Afia Schwarzenegger made a series of allegations against MzGee, exposing what she claimed to be the media personality’s past secrets.

Among the allegations, Afia Schwarzenegger asserted that MzGee engaged in unethical practices by selling her body to her superiors to gain favors during her time at Multimedia Group Limited, her former workplace.

Additionally, Schwarzenegger alleged that MzGee had a romantic relationship with Mark Okraku Mantey, who is now the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, and that this relationship contributed to her receiving preferential treatment.

According to her, it is an allegation flying across the media space that has got people talking.

She vehemently mentioned that MzGee has something under the sheet and is trying hard to cover it but she will not allow that to happen.

Afia called out MzGee to properly come out clean and react to the issue since she also sits on her show to dissect other people’s marital issues.

Not stopping there, the socialite went on to claim that MzGee had a year-long affair with Raymond Acquah, also a colleague at Multimedia before they got married.

These allegations have stirred controversy and sparked discussions within the media industry and among the public.

MzGee, who was not pleased by Afia’s attacks vehemently dismissed the claims, stating that successful women sleep their way to the top.

She emphasized that hard work and dedication are the keys to success, and people should not be misled into believing that every accomplished female media personality got there through questionable means.

She shared that her colleagues, with whom she has worked tirelessly over the years, can attest to her work ethic and commitment, which have been instrumental in her success.
