Bawumia’s Economic Vision Defies NDC’s Strategy – Richard Ahiagbah

Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia

The Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Ahiagbah has denounced what he perceived as the opposition National Democratic Congress’s strategy of leveraging public dissatisfaction with the country’s economy against the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

In a strong defence of the New Patriotic Party flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Mr Ahiagbah dissected the National Democratic Congress’s perceived tactics and outlined why they are failing, highlighting Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s economic acumen as a cornerstone for Ghana’s future prosperity.

Mr Ahiagbah further asserted that the National Democratic Congress’s strategy of using economic dissatisfaction as a political weapon is fundamentally flawed for two primary reasons.

“People are increasingly recognizing that, without COVID-19 and the Russia-Ukraine War, the Ghanaian economy would have continued as one of the fastest-growing in the world, as it was in 2019”.

This perspective, Mr Ahiagbah noted resonates with a growing sentiment among Ghanaians who recognize the global nature of recent economic disruptions.

Again, the Director of Communications of the governing New Patriotic Party, Richard Ahiagbah reminded Ghanaians of the National Democratic Congress’s track record, specifically under the leadership of former President John Dramani Mahama.

He strongly asserted that from 2013 to 2016, the National Democratic Congress’s administration under former President John Dramani Mahama severely mishandled the country’s economy.

He admonished the Ghanaian electorates to recall the economic hardships and policy missteps of the National Democratic Congress administration led by former President John Dramani Mahama.

This historical context, Mr Ahiagbah noted is critical, highlighting what he describes as the contrast between the New Patriotic Party administration’s proactive measures and the National Democratic Congress’s previous governance led by former President John Dramani Mahama’s failures to address economic challenges.

Bawumia: The Economic Phenom

Moreover, Richard Ahiagbah, the governing New Patriotic Party’s Director of Communications heaped praises on the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, describing him as the linchpin of Ghana’s economic recovery and future growth.

He asserted that despite the setbacks caused by global events and what he described as the National Democratic Congress’s “desperate speculations, the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu  Bawumia’s steadfastness and expertise stand out.

Mr Ahiagbah emphasized that despite the National Democratic Congress’s perceived propaganda against Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, his credentials as an economic “phenom remain solid”.

The Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s economic strategies, according to Mr Ahiagbah, are comprehensive and visionary, aimed at leading Ghana to a more robust and resilient economic state.

He highlighted Dr Bawumia’s ongoing efforts and plans, which are designed to address both immediate challenges and long-term growth urging Ghanaians to look beyond the temporary economic turbulence and focus on Dr Bawumia’s clear and achievable vision for the future.

In a fervent call for support, the New Patriotic Party Director of Communications urged the general public and the Ghanaian electorates to rally behind the ruling party’s flagbearer and vote for him as the President of the country in the upcoming general elections.

He expressed confidence in the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s leadership and the New Patriotic Party’s economic policies, which he posited would steer Ghana back to prosperity, emphasizing that the choice is critical for the country’s economic recovery and growth.
