Dancer and member of the Dance With Purpose (DWP) Academy, Roland Frimpong Nyarko, better known as Championrolie, has disclosed the highest amount he has ever been paid as a dancer.
According to him, it happened earlier this year when he was contracted as an influencer during the match between Ghana and Egypt.
He spoke about the agreed amount which he could not believe his eyes when he first received the money in his account.
“This is the first time I’m disclosing this. The highest amount I’ve been paid is GH₵ 70,000.00. In January, I had a contract with Football Together, and they flew me to Cote d’Ivoire to be an influencer for the Ghana and Egypt match. I did a lot of things by posting on my social media, and that’s the biggest contract I’ve ever signed.”

Initially, it was difficult to believe until he received the message from his bank account indicating the amount he had received.
For Rolie, being paid as a professional dancer is the best part since he ventured into the field, but he said the amount is dependent on the type of event and contract.
“Knowing that you’re having a good impact and influence on the youth and people who are watching you is also an amazing feeling,” he asserted.
As part of his future plans, he seeks to help train potential kid dancers who are on the street with his earnings to encourage them to earn a better living.
Championrolie also mentioned that he might participate in Britain’s Got Talent (BGT), following in the footsteps of his former dance colleague and friend, Afronitaaa.
He plans to continue showcasing his dance skills and providing entertainment through his performances.
Championrolie Foundation clothes 1,000 street children at Kotobabi
Championrolie hosted a heartwarming outreach event for street children.
This is the third time the talented dancer has brought smiles to the faces of children through his philanthropic gesture.
Held under the theme “Clothe-A-Child; Change A Life”, the event took place at the Wembley Sports Complex in Kotobabi.
Through the Championrolie Foundation, the initiative successfully clothed 1,000 street kids and provided educational materials and food.
The day brimmed with excitement as the children indulged in a fun fair, featuring bouncy castles, an eating competition, video games, a lime-and-spoon race, and other entertaining activities.
Adding to the excitement, Britain’s Got Talent finalist, Afronitaaa made a special appearance at the event.
The kids were also excited to see other members of the DWP Academy.
In addition to the program, a freestyle dance session was introduced where young talented dancers showcased their skills.
From this display, 10 promising dancers were chosen to be mentored by Championrolie and join the foundation’s dance initiatives.
Members of the DWP Academy, who were present, performed and entertained the kids; enhancing the day’s magic.
Speaking during the event, Championrolie stated that it has been his dream to help less fortunate children.
He noted that he chose Kotobabi as the location for this outreach because he grew up there and knows how it feels to have nothing at home.
“What motivated me was that, growing up, I lived with my parents until I left home. I always saw my mom give to the people of the society. She will cook and not share with us alone but will extend it to the outside people.
“I have learned these traits from her. I love to give so when I got to this stage of my professional dance career, I decided to go out and help the people on the streets.”

The DWP Academy dancer added that these street kids are suffering, hence the reason he created the foundation to help support and put smiles on their faces.
“This foundation is there to help them and give them that hope,” Championrolie added.
Championrolie also urged the government and other institutions to join in supporting street children, and ensuring that their dreams are not left unfulfilled.
The Championrolie Foundation, launched in December last year, has consistently aimed to support less fortunate children.
Its first outreach event provided meals to 500 street children, and in March 2023, the foundation organized a free health screening for children living on the streets.
