Esq. Bawah Highlights NDC’s Accomplishments

Joyce Mogtari Bawah

Joyce Mogtari Bawah has dismissed the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government’s allegation, propagated through a questionable source, that President John Dramani Mahama received payments, as a baseless and foolish falsehood.

The Special Aide to the NDC flagbearer, John Mahama, categorically stated that the former President has not received the alleged amounts from the State, dismissing the claims as utterly false and ridiculous.

“As he [John Mahama] has repeatedly stated, his only benefit from the State is his constitutionally deserving monthly pension payable to all former presidents, including President John Agyekum Kufour. Mr. Mahama operates from a private office, paying monthly rent”.

Joyce Mogtari Bawah

Joyce Bawah emphasized that it is a well-established fact that the Akufo-Addo administration has demonstrated appalling performance and has cemented its reputation as the most corrupt government in Ghana’s history, surpassing all previous records.

She further alleged that the incumbent NPP administration has recklessly driven Ghanaians into uncharted territory of economic hardship and poverty, exacerbating the suffering of the citizenry on an unprecedented scale.

According to Madam Bawah, the NPP is using Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as a scapegoat to evade accountability, portraying him as a puppet leader while the party’s true leaders remain in the shadows, pulling the strings to avoid scrutiny.

She asserted that the NPP’s plan is to exploit the Vice President as a conduit to perpetuate their grip on power and prolong the state capture that has characterized the last seven and a half years, further entrenching their control over the country’s institutions and resources.

Joyce Bawah affirmed that John Mahama remains resolute in his commitment to combat corruption, demonstrating his unwavering dedication to upholding transparency and accountability in governance.

She noted that this is a promise the former President intends to fulfill upon assuming office.

Madam Bawah highlighted that this commitment to transparency and accountability also encompasses abolishing the practice of paying ex-gratia to executives and stripping other privileges afforded to members of the executive branch and state-owned organization officials.

This, according to Mahama’s Special Aide is intended to promote a more equitable and frugal use of public resources.

“This is the kind of leadership that Mahama believes in, a leadership that is committed to fighting corruption and serving the people”. – Joyce Mogtari Bawah

Empowering Women In Business: John Mahama’s Vision

Furthermore, Joyce Mogtari Bawah pointed out that John Mahama has outlined his vision for empowering Ghanaian women in business.

She noted that John Mahama promised to establish a dedicated fund, managed through a Women’s Bank, to provide financial support and resources specifically tailored to their needs and entrepreneurial aspirations.

“This Bank will focus on Wealth Creation for Women and intentionally focus on the distribution of wealth for women, creation of wealth for women, and supporting women through funding of women-led, women-sponsored, and women-owned businesses and initiatives”.

She noted that this policy aims to empower women by fostering wealth creation, generating income opportunities, and creating jobs, ultimately leading to a significant enhancement of women’s economic empowerment and financial independence.

Joyce Bawah lavished praise on John Mahama, extolling his exceptional integrity, indicating that the former President’s unwavering commitment to honesty, though it has sometimes worked against him, remains one of his most admirable qualities.

She observed that the former President has consistently demonstrated a steadfast commitment to upright and honest politics, remarking that his unwavering dedication to truthfulness has sometimes been to his own detriment, as he has been unflinchingly candid with the Ghanaian people.

Joyce Bawah commendably noted that John Mahama has consistently demonstrated a dignified approach to politics, resisting the temptation to engage in malicious mudslinging.

She noted that Mahama had instead maintained a focus on substantive issues and constructive dialogue, thereby elevating the tone of political discourse. “After all, his integrity is important to him”, she added.
