Young People Sway Into Illicit Activities, a Concerning Situation

MIB

It is indeed concerning when individuals, especially young people, are influenced by celebrities who engage in illicit activities or flaunt their wealth in a way that glamorizes harmful behavior.

Society needs to emphasize positive role models and values that promote integrity, kindness, and responsibility.

Parents, educators, and other influencers play a role in guiding young people to make informed and healthy choices and help them understand the consequences of getting involved in negative activities.

Promoting critical thinking and media literacy also helps individuals discern between positive and negative influences in popular culture.

Ghanaian artist, Bismark Paapa Amponsah, popularly known as MIB in the entertainment industry has revealed that many celebrities live fake lifestyles.

According to him, tagging them as “social media celebrities” flaunts expensive valuables on social media, adding that, young ladies look up to these celebrities and learn from them.

“Hmmm, is very sad that young girls today look up to these so-called ‘social media celebrities’. Most of what we see on display by people, flaunting their wealth, money, flashy cars, and all the goodies might not be what they seem to be.

“Many people online live fake lifestyles. They pretend to be wealthy on social media just to get attention, and others even go to the extent of exploiting such avenues as a way of making money.”

His hope for the youth is that everyone should try and fight for their own and love one another.

However, he further noted that some ladies go to the extent of exposing sensitive body parts and doing all sorts of nasty things for fame and attention, adding that there are repercussions but they come with time.

“Most people realize this at the last hour,” he said.

Speaking about Brazillian Butt Lift (BBL), he quizzed why women change the way they look just for attraction.

“I mean I just don’t get it. Why change the way you look through painful surgical procedures when you can naturally work out and look fit? Well, they place more value on it because most men are attracted to that. They would spend huge amounts of money on women with huge buttocks and surgically altered curvature.”

Bismark Shares Thoughts on Ghanaian Media’s Journalistic Ethics

In an interview with the Vaultz media, Bismark added his voice to Ghanaian media’s journalistic ethics.

According to him, he thinks the Ghanaian media team should have conducted a background check before publishing Chef Smith’s supposed Guinness World Records (GWR) approval.

“In that view, I think they shouldn’t have published without conducting enough research.”

MIB

He revealed that it was bad on the part of Chef Smith to deceive the entire nation, not only the media in general.

“The public might not take media houses seriously in what they do. It creates the perception that just anyone can have access to the media to publish just about anything on air,” MIB added.

Looking at the rate at which technology is moving and transforming all industries, the artist believes that social media is going a long way in the world.

With the help of YouTube, TikTok, and other social media platforms, content creators or internet users generate income by monetizing their pages.

Through hard work, consistency, and creativity, one generates income from their followers.

With music distribution, comparing the modern and traditional music distribution methods, MIB noted that the modern way of distribution is more lucrative.

He further noted that with the modern way of music distribution, the artist connects to their audience worldwide, checks revenue from streams in real-time, and distributes to numerous digital stores at once.

“The opportunities technology provides for modern music distribution are countless. The traditional requires quite many human resources or people to work with and could be costly. It might take several months to sell all the records and recoup the money invested in the production of the song.”
