Mr Kwetey, in his critique of the current government, urged the Ghanaian youth disenchanted with today’s political leadership, to remember that the corruption, mismanagement, and poor governance the country is grappling with under the New Patriotic Party administration are not the standards.

Professor Mills’ Ethical Governance

Highlighting the profound differences in leadership styles, Mr Kwetey lauded the late former President, Professor John Atta Mills’ tenure as a beacon of ethical governance.

“Prof. Mills exemplified ethical, credible, and principled leadership, serving with humility, peace, and selfless dedication to national unity”, he noted.

This sentiment, he indicated is echoed widely, with many across the political spectrum recognizing Professor Mills’ unwavering commitment to the country’s welfare over personal or political gain.

Reflecting on Professor John Evans Atta Mills’ presidency, the former Deputy Minister of Finance under Professor Milles’s administration, pointed out that the late former President’s tenure was a testament to what is possible when leaders prioritize the country’s welfare over personal gain.

He recalled the late former President’s dedication to serving the people of Ghana with honesty and humility, qualities, he noted, that have become increasingly rare in Ghanaian politics today.

According to him, Professor Mills’ leadership was characterized by a relentless focus on national unity and development, which earned him admiration both domestically and internationally.

Mr Kwetey’s statement is not only a tribute but also a call to action for the future. He urged Ghanaians, particularly the younger generation, to draw inspiration from Professor John Atta Mills’ legacy.

“As we look towards the future, let us draw inspiration from Prof. Mills’ example. On December 7th, we hope for a return to the values he embodied. This is a call to the younger generation: believe in the possibility of ethical leadership. It is possible, and Prof. Mills proved it”.

Fifi Fiavi Kwetey,NDC ‘s General Secretary

The National Democratic Congress General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey concluded with a poignant tribute to the late former President, John Evans Atta Mills, expressing a collective hope for a better Ghana inspired by Professor Mills’ legacy.

“May his soul rest in perfect peace, and may his memory inspire us to build a better Ghana,” Mr Kwetey concluded.

The late former President John Evans Atta Mill, popularly referred to as “Asomdweehene’ passed on to his Maker on July 24th, 2012, throwing Ghana into a total state of sorrow and mourning.

As Ghanaians remember the late former President Professor John Evans Atta Mills, his legacy serves as a powerful reminder of the impact of ethical leadership.

His life and work continue to inspire those who believe in the possibility of a more just, peaceful, and prosperous nation.
