Ayra Starr Shares Perspective on Handling Criticism

Ayra Starr

Nigerian music star, Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, widely known as Ayra Starr has advised people to focus less on others’ opinions and more on their personal growth and confidence.

She emphasized that the opinions and perceptions of others hold less significance than many might believe, asserting that she learned that herself.

“What matters less? I feel like it’s opinions and people’s perceptions of you. Trust me, people are living their lives; everybody is busy and people are hungry.

“Stop caring about what people think about you; people are hungry, people are tired and life is hard.”

The ‘Rush’ hitmaker advised people to be themselves.

“Sometimes you are there wondering, ‘What does this person think about me?’ and they’re just there, wondering, ‘What’s going to happen today? Am I going to make it home?’

“There is a lot happening in the world and if you spend your time thinking about what people think about you, you’re just going to waste time.”

The singer further encouraged the public to focus on themselves and be confident in everything they do.

“Do you. Find yourself, be confident in yourself, and don’t care about the outcome; just do. Don’t be afraid to fail; fail as much as you want to, but when you get it right, you’re going to be so proud of yourself,” she emphasized.

The singer’s message to the world is that one should be confident in everything that they do.

“Be proud of yourself; you’re doing amazing. It’s hard but you’re doing amazing. Never get tired of trying; keep trying till you get it right. Don’t be afraid to fail and, oh, love yourself.”

Ayra Starr took her hit single “Commas” to the Vevo Studio for a live performance.

The track, released in February this year is the lead single from her recently released second album “The Year I Turned 21.”

However, the singer noticed the fan was distracted, as he was on the phone with his alleged girlfriend.

Ayra did not pay attention to his call as she collected his phone and handed it over to someone on her team.

Afterward, Ayra Starr held the fan’s cheeks in her hands and sang passionately to him while looking straight into his eyes.

The singer’s actions have sprung massive reactions on social media, as many likened it to what Omah Lay did to a fan’s girlfriend during one of his performances.

“Have noticed that when men do things like this to ladies, people talk but when it’s the other way round, we see it as nothing. Sisterhood is proud of you.”
