The movie industry, a realm of creativity and expression, is not immune to the complexities of human emotions and the unseen forces that affect the well-being of its participants.

Actors, directors, producers, and other stakeholders often find themselves in a high-pressure environment that leads to stress, anxiety, and even spiritual challenges.

In recent years, there has been a growing discourse around the importance of seeking protection and fortification against spiritual attacks.

Spiritual attacks manifest in various forms, including negative energy, jealousy, envy, and other harmful influences that arise from competition, stress, or interpersonal conflicts.

In the movie industry, where public scrutiny and personal vulnerabilities are heightened, individuals experience spiritual disturbances that affect their mental health, creativity, and overall performance.

Veteran Kumawood director, Borbor has advised all actors and stakeholders in the Kumawood movie industry to seek protection and fortification against spiritual attacks.

According to him, despite portraying themselves as loving and united, many members of the Kumawood movie industry are spiritually attacked by colleagues who may envy their positions.

“I am not surprised when my colleague actor Portia mentioned that there are numerous spiritual attacks on actors in the industry. Envy and hate exist in every aspect of life, but it is particularly prevalent in the movie industry.

“I have been part of the movie industry for a long time and I am aware of these occurrences. The use of ‘juju’ on colleagues does happen. Therefore, my simple advice to actors is to protect themselves from such spiritual attacks.”

Actors often expose their emotions and personal lives in their performances, making them susceptible to spiritual attacks.

Engaging in mindfulness practices, meditation, and visualization techniques helps actors shield themselves from negative energies. Additionally, establishing a strong support system and seeking guidance from spiritual advisors fortifies their resilience.

However, Kumawood actress, Portia Asare, shed light on the significant challenges facing the Kumawood movie industry.

According to her, the decline of the industry is attributable to internal conflicts and spiritual sabotage.

She recounted personal experiences of being targeted by some of her colleagues in the industry.

Moreover, Former TV3 Mentor, 1-star Hakeem, backed Portia Asare’s claims regarding the hostile environment within the Kumawood movie industry.

Strategies for Spiritual Protection

Practicing mindfulness and meditation helps individuals become more aware of their thoughts and emotions, allowing them to identify and release negative energies.

Regularly cleansing spaces with sage, incense, or sound healing help maintain a positive atmosphere on set and in personal spaces.

Using positive affirmations and visualization techniques empowers individuals to manifest their desires and protect themselves from negativity.

Collaborating with spiritual advisors, healers, or coaches provides personalized strategies to combat spiritual attacks and enhance overall well-being.

Creating a network of supportive colleagues and friends can foster a sense of belonging and protection against external negativity.

Borbor, who also manages Dr. Likee, shared a personal experience when someone attempted to harm him spiritually.

He recalled, “While I believe ‘juju’ exists in the movie industry, I had not experienced it until recently when someone used it against me, about two months ago. They tried to paralyze me through a spiritual attack, but fortunately, I had spiritual assistance that saved my life.”

In the fast-paced and often tumultuous world of the movie industry, actors and stakeholders must prioritize their spiritual well-being.

By recognizing the potential for spiritual attacks and implementing protective measures, individuals fortify themselves against negative energies and maintain their creative integrity.

Embracing mindfulness, seeking guidance, and fostering supportive relationships creates a resilient community that thrives in the face of challenges, ultimately contributing to a healthier and more vibrant movie industry.
