Ghanaian singer and songwriter, Kurl Songx has warned musicians “to be careful” entertaining female fans.
The Highlife star stated that it’s a privilege for a woman to admire what a man does.
The “Jennifer Lomotey” hitmaker explained: “I have chatted to women in my DM [direct mail] several times but, mostly, we need to be careful with that.”
“Most of the women who write to us privately on social media can lead to a lot of problems. They can land you in serious trouble, spiritually they can quench your fire, if those things are real, they can worry you.”

Kurl Songx noted he is “a straightforward guy,” underlined he “isn’t a saint,” and insinuated he has gotten involved with groupies before. Thus, his warning was from personal experiences.
“As I speak, I’m not perfect in handling these situations. We don’t really know how to handle everything that concerns our lives as we go and come. We just have to be careful and pray to God. Because however it is, we are men.”

He further curiously appealed to female fans to “kindly exercise restraint”.
The singer-songwriter, however, noted some female fans can become resourceful in one’s life and career.
“Some come to help, also. You’ll not [always] know the difference [readily]. You just have to pray and just [be careful],” he emphasized.
Experiencing the benefits of divine and timely intervention, Kurl Songx urged an intimate relationship with God.
Singer Renders Apology

Kurl Songx revealed that he has made mistakes in the past while growing up in his [music] journey.
The Highlife singer rendered an apology to those he wronged.
“In the cause of my journey, if I have stepped on anyone’s toes, be it the ones I know or the ones I have no idea about, I’d like to take this big platform to ask for forgiveness,” he said.
Wondering if he had borne negative consequences for offending some people in the music industry, he responded in the affirmative.
He noted that he likes to keep details out of public discourse because of how sensitive the issues are.
“But we’re human. I want to be very honest. There are some offenses I committed I might know while there are others I might not know of.”

Kurl Songx, asked for forgiveness, although he recognized “it is not easy to forget”.
The singer and songwriter revealed that he is proud to have recorded a song titled ‘Feeling’ with the late Ebony Reigns before her demise.

He disclosed that he would have preferred to perform the song with Ebony but he’s fortunate to have had such an opportunity to do a song with her.
“Anytime I listen to my song ‘Feelings’ which I did with Ebony, I always wish that she was here with me but may her soul rest in peace because God knows best,” he consoled himself.
“I know she is in a happy place just that I’m happy to have recorded a song with Ebony and I’m glad to have gotten the opportunity to work with a great person like her.
“I wished she would be around for us to perform the ‘Feelings’ song together but the unthinkable has happened already and there’s nothing we could do about it.”

Ebony Reigns died instantly in a traffic collision on 8 February 2018 whilst returning from Sunyani to Accra after a visit to her mother. Her jeep collided head-on with a bus on the Sunyani-Kumasi Highway.
She died eight days before her 21st birthday, and tragically, just one day before her scheduled music tour in Europe.
