Braimah Kamoko, popularly called Bukom Banku, has defended former President John Dramani Mahama’s honor.
He intimated that Ghanaians made a mistake voting out “the best President” Mahama for President Akuffo-Addo.
“Akuffo-Addo has shown he cannot manage the country. He’s taken all our money. There’s no money in Ghana. Ghana is an empty can now. No food, no water, no work. The youth are suffering.”

According to the boxing champion, regretful and repentant Ghanaians want John Mahama back at the helm of affairs.
“Ghana has experienced Mahama’s governance before. He’s not new to us. He’s ruled before. However, Ghanaians did not understand Mahama and so voted him out. Now, Ghanaians want Mahama. Mahama is the best president of the country.”

“Nana will go and Mahama will come, and we’ll see what he can [also] do,” he predicted.
The singer and comic declared his preference for the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its flagbearer, his friend, Mahama.

He indicated when Mahama returns to the Golden Jubilee House, he will be liberated from the current economic hardship.
“I’m fighting for my party to come to power so I’ll be free. I’m campaigning for Mahama to win the election 2024. He’s been my friend since his vice presidency. I’ve known him for 14 years now,” Banku said.
He added he liked Mahama’s proposed 24-hour economy, noting it would create jobs for Ghanaians.
Bukom Banku said Mahama’s ultimate challenger, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the vice president and flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has no message to convince the electorate.
He noted if the NPP maintained power after the December 7 polls, it would be terrible for the country.
“Bawumia has no message. They’ll vote against him. The youth are shouting. Ghana is too bad now. As Vice President, Bawumia lied to the country about the economy. What message does the NPP have for Ghanaians? They don’t have any message! And they say they’ll break the eight. They want trouble in Ghana or what?”
