Courage Nobi, Deputy Director for Policy at the Movement for Change (MFC), praised Alan Kyerematen’s selection of a running mate, citing it as a testament to his exemplary character.

According to Nobi, Alan Kyerematen’s choice of running mate demonstrates his dedication to fulfilling his promise of promoting youthful leadership and governance.

He described the MFC leader as exceptionally shrewd and highly experienced in matters of economic development, highlighting his impressive track record in this area.

“Because of that, we needed someone to balance ON the other aspect of governance. So, if you check, KOD [Kwame Owusu Danso] is somebody who is very heavy on civil society so the government bid is covered. Apart from that he is into entertainment, media, and journalism and that is a very important sector for Alan Kyerematen”.

“For somebody who was a musician, he [Kwame Owusu Danso] can also frontline conversations on tourism which is the fourth pillar of the industrial revolution campaign and for this county that we are seeking to be”.

Courage Nobi

Nobi confidently asserted that Kwame Owusu Danso, the MFC’s running mate, is the ideal partner for Alan Kyerematen to form a winning team and assume the reins of government.

Although Dr. Abu Sakara was not selected as running mate, as many had anticipated, Nobi emphasized that his agricultural expertise makes him a valuable asset to Kyerematen’s team.

Nobi downplayed the omission of Dr. Abu Sakara as running mate, noting that he remains a crucial party member, driving innovative policies and contributing significantly to the team.

The MFC stalwart assured that a Kyerematen-led government would deviate from the norm, eschewing partisan appointments and instead fostering a government of national unity that brings together individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Nobi stressed that the MFC is committed to building an inclusive government, transcending partisan lines, and embracing a collaborative approach to governance, with the goal of uniting all stakeholders.

Nobi Hails Kyerematen’s Commitment

Furthermore, Courage Nobi indicated that Alan Kyerematen’s steadfast commitment to his Great Transformational Plan (GTP) throughout his campaign is a testament to his trustworthiness and dedication to meaningful change.

Nobi highlighted that the MFC’s GTP includes a comprehensive youth empowerment program in the mining sector, outlining strategies to eradicate illegal mining and promote safe, legal mining practices.

He emphasized that the current government must impose a complete ban on small-scale mining, as it has become increasingly entangled with illegal mining, resulting in devastating environmental consequences.

“When you are bleeding, the fiat thing is to stop it. Currently, Ghana is bleeding from this galamsey menace and we need to stop it. The good thing about Alan Kyerematen is that he is neither NPP nor NDC so we will use everything necessary to stop it [galamsey]”.

Courage Nobi

Nobi explained that once the necessary measures are implemented, the government will lift the ban on small-scale mining, providing regulated and sustainable mining practices.

He emphasized that the MFC government, led by Alan Kyerematen and his running mate, will be an inclusive administration that transcends political party affiliations, fostering unity among all Ghanaians.

The MFC stalwart reaffirmed Alan Kyerematen’s commitment to revolutionizing the country’s mining sector within two years, bringing about much-needed reforms.

Nobi warned that the MFC government will take stern and decisive action against illegal mining (galamsey), departing from the current government’s lenient approach, and ensuring that offenders face the full force of the law.

He highlighted that Kyerematen’s plan will unlock Ghana’s human capital potential, both domestically and internationally, by providing opportunities for growth and development.

“Because we are going to industrialize this country and we need the brains to come back to help develop this country”. – Courage Nobi
