Ghanaian Dancehall artist, Stonebwoy has recently dropped a new track called “Jejereje,” which took off on digital media after he leaked an extract a few days before the release.

Skrewfaze and Stonebwoy

Stonebwoy’s new release “Jejereje” has gained the attention of renowned producer and singer, Skrewfaze. The new song came with the reigning dancehall TGMA Artiste of the Year’s sixth studio album expected before the year ends.

The song shifted slightly away from Stonebwoy’s signature Afrodancehall and Afrobeats prowess, tapping into Ghana’s rich, age-old highlife genre. The dance-ready track reminded many of the high-flying career of Skrewfaze, a renowned producer and singer behind upbeat Ghanaian songs such as Gbalagaza.

Skrewfaze, born Jehoshaphat Eshun, is known for his command over the Asorkpor and Azonto subgenres popular in Ghana’s Ga coastal communities. In a video, Skrewfaze appeared to enjoy Stonebwoy’s new release. He shared a rendition of the trending new single, which got many fans demanding Stonebwoy to consider a remix of Jejereje with Skrewfaze.

In other news, the Ghanaian dancehall musician’s young daughter, Jidula Satekla, went viral after a video of her showcasing her dance moves to a song surfaced on social media.

Stonebwoy, his wife, Dr. Louisa Satekla, and their daughter, Catherine Jidula Satekla, visited a beach resort to spend quality time together as a family. The Sateklas decided to explore the beautiful Volta River by going on a boat cruise with some members of the musician’s team.

Jidula Satekla took to her Instagram page to share a video of herself showcasing fire dance moves to Stonebwoy’s newly released song “Jejereje”, which features Amsterdam-based guitarist and music producer, Ginton.

Jidula’s impressive dance moves grabbed the attention of her parents and the occupants of the boat, who were amazed to witness her remarkable talents.

The song received positive reviews from fans and critics and climbed to the top position on the Ghana iTunes Top Songs (All Genres) chart hours after its release.

The video of Jidula dancing to Stonebwoy’s Jejereje song triggered positive reactions from netizens.
