Entertainment Pundits Share Opinions Amid Pastor Love’s Jail Term

Nana Frimpong Ziega

Entertainment pundit, Nana Frimpong Ziega, has claimed that church leaders like Pastor Love are the ones contributing to the decline of Christianity in the country.

Ziega pointed out that while leaders like Archbishop Duncan-Williams and Mensa Otabil are winning for Christ, Pastor Love is doing the opposite.

“Negative publicity surrounding men of God in Africa is what Pastor Love has created. While church leaders like Archbishop Duncan-Williams and Mensa Otabilare bringing people into Christianity, we have pastors like Pastor Love reversing that progress, which sets a poor example.”

Ziega also criticized Pastor Love for not showing remorse during the court proceedings, suggesting that it could have influenced the judge to grant him leniency in paying for the car. “Pastor Love didn’t exemplify a good Christian life. He was arrogant throughout the court proceedings,” he added.

“When he did amounts to theft, and he should have shown remorse. Instead, he seemed to rely on his connections. If it had been someone else, they might be facing much harsher consequences.”

MC Yaa Yeboah and Pastor Love

Entertainment Pundict, MC Yaa Yeboah also disclosed that she is happy that the embattled preacher, Pastor Love is going to spend some years behind bars.

She claimed that the preacher insulted people he disagreed with on social media and never doubted if he was arrogant in court.

According to some people, Pastor Love was jailed because he was arrogant and spoke to the sitting judge rudely in court prompting the judge to serve him the sentence.

While some people believe the jail term was too harsh, Mc Yaa Yeboah is of the view that it serves him right and he will learn a lesson when he returns after serving his sentence.

“It is unfortunate Pastor Love allowed this to happen, but as for me, I am very happy about it. We are all not perfect, but we have to learn to treat people with respect. The lawyer said during the court hearing, he displayed some level of arrogance. Although I don’t know him personally, per his actions I have seen on social media, boasting and insulting others, I’m not surprised.”

She noted that the pastor used his money to retrieve a vehicle from the port, adding that the person wanted to pay the fee and take his car. “How wicked can you be that the person gave you the owed amount, yet you refused to tell him the whereabouts of the car? Is he trying to show his superiority or what?” she quizzed.

While some express sympathy and argue that Pastor Love could have received a more lenient punishment or even just a fine, others insist he deserves no mercy.

Pastor Love was sentenced to 48 months in prison following a prolonged legal battle over a car he sold without accounting for the proceeds. His case, which began in 2017, concluded with him being found guilty of theft, appropriation, and dishonesty.

Bullgod Reacts To Pastor Loves’ Jail Term

Entertainment pundit, Bullgod, born Hanson Nana Asiamah, believes that Pastor Love was jailed because he failed to apply commonsense in court.

Reacting to the jail term being served by Pastor Love, Bullgod indicated that the ex-husband of Christiana Love did not apply wisdom while in court because the Judge could have tampered with justice with mercy.

However, the lack of knowledge and wisdom led him to be pompous in court, which led to his incarceration.

“I will say he was jailed because he lacks wisdom. How can you go to court and tell the Judge that the other judge did not tell you you’ll be jailed? As an accused, when you go to court, you act sober and say things that will be comforting.

“I’ve been to court several times, and what you do is not to come across as arrogant but rather as sober as you can because you don’t even know the mood the judge is in at that particular time. He did not apply wisdom and commonsense and that has ended him in jail.”
