CPP Unveils Women’s Manifesto with Bold Plans

Nana Akosua Frimpomaa, CPP Flagbearer

The Convention People’s Party (CPP) has unveiled its Women’s Manifesto ahead of the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.

The manifesto focuses on enhancing the quality of life for women nationwide through initiatives in agriculture, economic development, and other key areas.

Accordingly, Nana Akosua Frimpomaa, the CPP’s flagbearer, announced the introduction of the AgroSure initiative, the party’s flagship policy.

This program seeks to transition from traditional farming methods to commercial agriculture, promoting modern and sustainable practices.

“Farmers will no longer toil just to survive. Through AgroSure, we will buy all farm produce from Ghanaian farmers, just as we do in the cocoa sector, and help them transition to being shareholders in cooperative ventures.”

Nana Akosua Frimpomaa

The policy aims to establish a more equitable agricultural economy by empowering farmers, enhancing food security, and reducing the nation’s reliance on imports.

It seeks to modernize agriculture while ensuring fair opportunities for all stakeholders in the sector.

Additionally, the CPP flagbearer, Nana Akosua Frimpomaa, outlined the party’s ambitious plan to drive economic empowerment through the GhanaBa Shares initiative.

This bold proposal aims to grant 20 million Ghanaians a GH₵20,000 stake in national industries, fostering widespread economic inclusion and shared ownership of the country’s resources.

According to her, this initiative will not only bridge the wealth gap but also create a sense of collective responsibility and participation in the nation’s economic development.

“For too long, Ghana’s wealth has been concentrated in the hands of a few or siphoned off by foreign investors,” Nana Frimpomaa said. “GhanaBa Shares is about economic justice—ensuring that every Ghanaian benefits directly from the resources of this nation.”

She explained that the initiative, according to the CPP, aims to promote collective ownership and empower ordinary citizens to take control of their economic futures.

Nana Akosua Frimpomaa further highlighted the party’s plan to implement the “Governance at Your Doorstep” program, establishing centers at every polling station across the country.

These centers are designed to make governance more accessible by offering citizens a platform to voice their concerns, access essential services, and engage directly with local government representatives.

“This is about creating a government that listens to and serves the people. These centers will be a hub for addressing issues like property rights, disability support, and community development.”

Nana Akosua Frimpomaa

She added that, as part of its commitment to inclusivity, the CPP intends to allocate a dedicated seat at each Governance-at-Your-Doorstep center for persons with disabilities. “This policy ensures that governance is truly representative and that no one is left behind”.

CPP Makes Pledge to Free University Education

The CPP has pledged to provide free education up at the university level as part of its efforts to address Ghana’s persistent educational challenges.

Nana Akosua Frimpomaa emphasized that building a strong nation requires ensuring every child has access to quality education.

“The country cannot thrive if our children are denied the opportunity to learn,” she stated, adding that the policy aims to empower every Ghanaian child to reach their full potential.

The CPP also reaffirmed its commitment to restoring the party’s historical assets and reclaiming Ghana’s identity.

Nana Akosua Frimpomaa called for the return of properties confiscated from the CPP during past political upheavals, describing these assets as an integral part of the nation’s heritage and history.

“This is not a plea; it is a demand. These assets belong to the people of Ghana and must be returned to their rightful owners.”

Nana Akosua Frimpomaa

Nana Frimpomaa reaffirmed the CPP’s dedication to ending Ghana’s cycle of dependency.

“We have been a nation of importers for too long. From matches to finished goods, we rely on others to provide what we can and should produce ourselves. The Women’s Manifesto is about changing that—about creating industries, jobs, and wealth right here in Ghana.”

Nana Akosua Frimpomaa

The CPP flagbearer emphasized that the manifesto represents more than just promises—it is a pledge to every Ghanaian.

She, however, acknowledged that achieving these goals requires collective effort, calling on the public for their support, unity, and strength to create a Ghana that all can be proud of.
