Tiwa Savage

Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Tiwa Savage has opened up about the heartbreaking manner in which Nigerians switched up on her when her marriage to Teebillz ended in divorce in 2018.

The singer recalled how much love she received from Nigerians from the time she first became famous until she got married and had her son.

“When I came out, I was Nigeria’s sweetheart when I started and I could do no wrong in Nigerian’s eyes. I did everything by the books, I did everything by the books, you know, I went to university and I wasn’t a baby mama. I got married then I had a baby so I did everything in the right order and everybody loved me and then everything happened.”

However, after the messy public divorce and the headlines that followed, Tiwa Savage noted a change in the public’s reception of her.

She noted how she was dragged and blamed for the divorce after her ex-husband announced it to the public.

“Then I started getting hate from blogs and I started getting hate from certain people. And that’s how our situation happened, he actually announced it online. I didn’t break up with him but I was the one being attacked.

“I and my baby were just a few months old and I was dealing with postpartum and my body wasn’t the same and I was really depressed. Everyone then went to him and only a few people came to see me.”

Tiwa Savage revealed that things got even worse after she attempted to address the situation publicly. She said, “People were like ‘How dare you go and talk.’ ‘You’re a woman and you’re supposed to build the house, it’s your fault.'”

She also recalled how even prominent individuals discouraged her from speaking out, warning her that it would damage her public image.

“I remember famous people calling me to ask how I could tell my side of the story cuz I’d never win. Ever since then, I was like I won’t ever talk about the situation because it was very heartbreaking how the public took it”

Tiwa Savage Discusses Fashion Choices, Ageism

Afrobeats singer, Tiwa Savage recently shared her thoughts on the criticism she faces regarding her fashion choices.

Savage expressed frustration about the constant backlash she receives due to her age.

The 44-year-old singer noted that she often faces criticism for her clothing choices, with some individuals suggesting that she should dress more modestly due to her age.

In contrast, Tiwa Savage pointed out that other female celebrities in their 40s, such as Beyoncé, are often celebrated for their beauty and fashion sense, regardless of their age.

“They age-shame me every single day. They say a woman of your age, how can you be wearing a bikini? I can because I have a body.

“Beyoncé is in her 40s and wears bikinis but Americans don’t age shame her. They would be like, for her age, black don’t crack. It’s more celebrated when you look good in your older age.”

Tiwa Savage

She emphasized that she believes age should not dictate one’s fashion choices, urging individuals to be free to express themselves through their clothing, regardless of their age.

Tiwa Savage also expressed her confidence in her own beauty and fashion sense, stating that she is proud to be a powerful and beautiful woman.

“But they [Nigerians], always throw these things like, when her son grows up, he’s going to see this. My son is going to be like, my mum is a powerful and beautiful woman.”

In other news, Tiwa Savage breaks the internet with the revelation about her failed relationships, s£x toys, and orgasm.

Tiwa revealed startling truths about her romantic history. She boldly stated that she has never ended a relationship because her partner cheated on her.

Instead, her reasons for walking away have been rooted in deeper betrayals—drug abuse, emotional neglect, ghosting, and other acts that cut deeper than mere infidelity.
