Charlie Dior Slams Critics To Seek Therapy

Charlie Dior

Ghanaian social media fashion critic, Charlie Dior has revealed that he is a nine-to-five employee.

He stated that he works with a corporate firm based in the United States to financially complement his social media influencing business.

“I have a 9 to 5. You know, media can be very rough, and it doesn’t really pay the bills. So, I have a 9 to 5; I work with corporate America; I work for a communication firm.”

Having studied communications at the university, the influencer decided to apply his course of study to improve both his skills and potential.

Tinny Questions Mentorship in Creative Industry

Regarding his appearance, Charlie mentioned that he is fashionable but limits dramatic outfits, considering the environment.

He continued that he works a 9-to-5 job during the weekdays and focuses on fashion criticism on weekends for relaxation and fun.

“I’m very fashionable at work, but it’s not drama. I don’t give drama at work because you can be very distracted. So a nice button-up shirt with slacks and nice shoes; things like that. Then I become a fashion critic on the weekend. I record my show in a little one corner.”

The fashion critic urged potential content creators not to wait until they are well-established before creating content on social media.

Instead, he disclosed that they can start wherever they are to earn something valuable if the concept is relevant and captures attention.

His fame emerged while watching one of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) editions.

His observations of people’s red carpet outfits prompted him to record a video to share his opinions, which went viral and sparked conversations on social media, bringing him attention.

He exudes style qualities and has great confidence which radiates in all his looks.

Ghanaian fashion critic, Charlie Dior, opened up about a rather tense encounter with Odii Tornado that left an indelible impression.

Charlie Dior revealed that Tornado’s emotional nature took him by surprise when they crossed paths at the birthday party of renowned businesswoman, Adwoa Jannis.

Charlie described the interaction as uncomfortable.

“Odii Tornado is too emotional. He was rude to me when we met at the party. It caught me off guard because I didn’t expect that kind of reaction. I wasn’t trying to be rude or escalate things, but Tonardo displayed a hint of attitude after that moment.”

The fashion critic clarified that his critiques of celebrity fashion choices are never intended as personal attacks.

According to him, his focus is solely on evaluating their outfits as part of his show, not on critiquing the individuals wearing them.

“I critique the fashion, not the person. It’s about the style choices, not their character or personality.”

Charlie Dior

While many have come to appreciate and even celebrate his craft for its honest and professional insights, others, like Odii Tornado, have taken offense.

Charlie pointed out that some individuals misinterpret his feedback, taking it personally and framing it as an attack on their identity, which he says is far from his intent. “It’s disappointing when people make it personal,” he stated.

“I’m simply doing my job, highlighting the good and the bad in fashion,” Charlie added, reinforcing his commitment to maintaining professionalism in his critiques.

Recently, Charlie Dior shared that his candid assessments of celebrity fashion have spurred a noticeable shift in how some of Ghana’s most notable public figures present themselves.

According to him, his commentary has made these celebrities more conscious of their outfit choices, especially when stepping onto public platforms or performing on stage.
