President Mahama Begins Thank You Tour in the Volta Region

This Friday, President John Dramani Mahama will launch his nationwide Thank You Tour, starting in the Volta Region. 

The tour aims to express deep gratitude to Ghanaians for their immense support and trust during the historic 2024 general elections.

In a statement signed by Acting Spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Presidency described the tour as a key opportunity for President Mahama to strengthen ties with citizens.

“The President will be welcomed with a grand durbar of chiefs, queen mothers, opinion leaders, religious leaders, members of various labour unions, and key representatives from the informal sector”.

According to the statement, the durbar will highlight the vital role Ghanaians played in the country’s democratic journey and will reaffirm the Mahama administration’s commitment to fulfilling campaign promises with urgency and integrity.

The Acting Spokesperson for the President, Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu, further expressed his excitement that President Mahama has made history as the first Ghanaian leader to announce a complete cabinet within two weeks of taking office. 

This unprecedented move, he noted is a sign of the President’s readiness to lead, underscoring his determination to address national challenges without delay.

Focusing on Key National Issues

The Thank You Tour comes as Ghanaians eagerly await major policy initiatives targeting economic recovery, youth employment, healthcare, and education reform. President Mahama’s quick formation of a cabinet has been recognized as a bold step toward tackling these priorities.

In the Volta Region, a stronghold of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the President is expected to outline his administration’s immediate plans while acknowledging the unwavering support of the region’s people.

The statement also encouraged all Ghanaians to participate in the tour’s events, stressing the importance of national unity and collective effort in building a better Ghana. 

“ We look forward to a vibrant and successful event in the Volta Region as we recognize and honour our fellow citizens’ invaluable support and trust. Together, we will build the Ghana we want”.

The Thank You Tour symbolizes a shared victory and serves as a renewed commitment to transformative leadership.

The Volta Region durbar is expected to set the tone for subsequent visits across the country, featuring cultural performances, speeches, and opportunities for citizens to engage directly with the President.
