Davido Shares Story Of Receiving $20k Gift From Producer

Davido

Afrobeat singer, Davido, has pledged to prioritise monogamy and family after a string of tumultuous relationships.

Davido revealed he’s turning a new leaf, vowing fidelity and a renewed focus on family.

Davido

The Afrobeats sensation is never one to put on airs or succumb to the pressure of fitting a particular mold.

He opened up about his personality, his relationship with fellow Nigerian artist Wizkid, and how he approaches his fame.

“I love everyone, man,” Davido shared, setting the tone for a candid conversation. He’s known for his outgoing and free-spirited personality.

“I’m not a rebel like Burna Boy or mystical like Wizkid. I’m just me. People know me as the outgoing, free guy. I’m not a rebel like Burna Boy or mystical like Wizkid. I can’t act that way.”

He explained that some people have even told him he might be “too free” for someone of his status.

“Some people tell me I’m too free, don’t I know I’m a superstar. I’ll be like, if my dad walks past you right now, you wouldn’t know, so that’s how I grew up.”

Davido

This down-to-earth perspective comes from his upbringing, and it’s clear that he doesn’t let fame alter the way he interacts with the world around him. The Nigerian artist emphasized that he is still grounded, despite his massive success.

In another lighthearted moment, he revealed an amusing story about his manager, who often gets frustrated with him for being too casual. “My manager gets mad at me for wearing slippers in the house,” he laughed. “There are people born artists, who come out of their room looking good.”

Despite his carefree nature, Davido made it clear that he knows how to balance his personal freedom with the demands of his career.

His easygoing approach to life resonates with fans, giving them a glimpse of the real person behind the superstar persona.
