Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay Idibia is taking a moment to reflect on how far she’s come in her acting career.
On her Instagram page, the mother of two recalled how she usually took the long route, driving to school, to check her recent movie posters to see if any of her new movies were out, and her face was on the poster.
“Plus! Damn…I remember how I usually took the long route, driving to school (UNILAG), so that I could check all the recent movie posters through Surulere to see if any of my new movies were out and if they put my face on the posters! The dream then wasn’t just to get the roles but to pray that the marketers would see your face as sellable enough to make the front poster!
“And grace found me! Now na dem dey rush us o. Now, na we dey choose which kain film we put our energy, our face, and even our name o Pow pow pow pow.”

Last year, Annie Macaulay shared throwback photos as she expressed how blessed she was to be embarking on a brand new journey. Annie stated that her story is about a little girl with a very big dream from beneath the grass to Grace Unlimited.
The mother of two declared that this new journey was mostly going to be about self-love, loving herself more, and taking care of herself and herself first.
Annie Macaulay Shares Cryptic Post

The Nollywood actress recently shared a post about moving on, and many of her fans believe it reflects the approach she has been using since her marriage to 2Baba collapsed.
The mother of two and her singer husband ended their marriage last year, and many celebrities expressed their grievances about the situation.
The actress recently took to her Instagram stories to repost a widely circulated quote that many saw as reflective of her current mindset: “Life is too short to argue, block them and sleep peacefully.”
While the post speaks to emotional boundaries and mental peace, Annie added her own spin to it. Rather than blocking people, the mother of two prefers a softer, quieter approach.
“Naaaa just archive n move on,” she wrote, offering insight into how she handles negativity now.
This gentle response struck a chord with fans and followers, many of whom applauded her for choosing to preserve her energy instead of engaging in conflicts.
What makes Annie’s journey so relatable to many is how she’s choosing to heal quietly. Her “archive and move on” mantra is one that resonates in a world where public spats and digital drama are the norm.

Rather than air out grievances or seek public sympathy, the actress is living her truth silently and intentionally. Her social media presence has been minimal, but when she posts, it’s thoughtful and empowering.
Across social media platforms, fans have rallied behind Annie, praising her resilience, maturity, and emotional intelligence. Many have also shared how inspired they are by her approach to heartbreak and reinvention.
It’s clear Annie is on a journey not just to move on, but to rediscover herself, build new connections, and embrace life on her own terms.
“Madam ,you were not a saint in these things. Your own brother came to call you out before the Idibias. 2Baba going through something with his new relationship does not mean his ex was an angel.”
