Davido Reveals Unexpected Passion Outside Music

Davido

Afrobeat superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has set social media ablaze with the revelation that he spent a staggering $3.7 million in cash on his white wedding to Chioma Rowland.

The couple, who captivated fans with their traditional wedding in Lagos in June 2024, arrived in style for their pre-wedding party in Miami, United States, where the extravagant celebration is taking place.

In a now-viral video, Davido, with his characteristic flair, declared, “I spent $3.7m cash, so we should know what we are doing here,” underscoring the grandeur of the event.

The white wedding, described as a five-day beachfront spectacle, follows months of anticipation after Davido’s aide, Israel DMW, first announced plans for the Miami nuptials.

The couple’s arrival at their pre-wedding festivities showcased their signature elegance, further fueling excitement among fans and followers.

The $3.7 million price tag, equivalent to over ₦5.6 billion, has sparked widespread discussion on platforms like X, with some users marveling at the scale of the event. In contrast, others debated the implications of such opulence.

The wedding, dubbed “CHIVIDO,” marks a significant milestone for the couple, whose love story has been a focal point of public admiration. Their traditional ceremony in Lagos, a star-studded affair, set the stage for this high-profile continuation in Miami.

The guest list was full of familiar figures, including Zlatan, Adekunle Gold, B-Red, Davido’s elder sister Sharon, his older brother Adewale Adeleke, and many more.

Viral videos on social media show the music stars having a good time together ahead of the grand celebration.

One clip captured Zlatan and Davido sharing a lighthearted moment, while another showed Teni, Adekunle Gold, and Tunde Ednut in high spirits at the party.

Netizens reacted to the Afrobeats singer’s statement.

“Who ask you 😮did mean say you sleep another woman abeg 😮even you spend 5 billion dollars 💸 that is your choice.”

Davido and Chioma’s Pre-Wedding Look

This weekend is all about Chioma and Davido’s white wedding in Miami, and fans are ready for every single moment of it.

But before the vows, the dances, and the inevitable viral clips, Stanlo Photography blessed fans with a shot of the couple looking like they have stepped straight out of a high-fashion dream.

Davido is in a black tuxedo with satin lapels, paired with a matching dress shirt and bow tie. A gold rope chain sits across his chest, and there’s a diamond bracelet that quietly says he knows exactly what he’s doing. The polished black shoes seal the look with confidence.

Chioma’s gown is a vision in gold and bronze, the fabric worked with beadwork and sequins in flowing geometric designs. The high neckline, long sleeves, and fitted bodice open out into a dramatic train that feels made for grand entrances.

They’re standing in a curved space washed in warm copper light, and it’s giving the kind of atmosphere that makes you wish you were there.

Their love story already had a spectacular chapter last year when they tied the knot in a stunning Igbo and Yoruba traditional wedding.

Now, Miami is about to see part two, and if this prelude is anything to go by, the main event will be unforgettable.

Davido, a global ambassador for Afrobeat, has long been recognized for his larger-than-life persona, both in music and in his lifestyle.

The Miami wedding, with its hefty budget and exclusive setting, reinforces his status as one of Nigeria’s most influential entertainers.

The event not only highlights the couple’s milestone but also underscores the Afrobeats star’s ability to command global attention, blending Nigerian culture with international luxury.
