In a video shared by the Recording Academy via its official social media page on Tuesday, September 23, Davido, alongside US rapper Offset, Stewart Copeland, and others, shared their excitement about joining the Recording Academy.

Davido disclosed that he was looking forward to voting in the next Grammy Awards.

According to the Recording Academy, voting for the 2026 Grammy Awards will commence in less than two weeks.
The Afrobeats star has been nominated at the Grammys four times but is yet to win any award.
Davido’s first three nominations came at the 66th Grammy Awards in 2024, where he was nominated for Best Global Music Album for Timeless, Best African Music Performance for Unavailable featuring Musa Keys, and Best Global Music Performance for Feel.
In 2025, Davido again missed out on a Grammy win, losing the Best African Music Performance category. His song, ‘Sensational’, a collaboration with Chris Brown and Lojay, lost to Tems’ Love Me Jeje.

Olamide Opens Up About Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy

Nigerian hip hop star Olamide, popularly known as Baddo, opened up about his relationship with fellow music heavyweights Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy.

Olamide also offered his thoughts on the contentious Afrobeats “Big 3” rating, which frequently includes Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy.
The ‘Baddest Guy Ever Liveth’’ crooner stated he isn’t concerned about not being included on the list, stating that his primary emphasis is on making music.
Olamide also revealed that he finds it easier to operate a record business than to work as an artist.

The YBNL chairman spoke about how his experience as a musician has helped him better understand and work with the talent under his supervision.
According to him, working in the music industry has taught him how artists think, act, and deal with the ups and downs of fame, money, and success.
The ‘Metaverse’ crooner stated that having a solid understanding makes it easier for him to guide individuals signed to his label.
He claims he knows when people are in a good creative space and when they are distracted, which allows him to provide the appropriate support.
Netizens reacted to Olamide’s interview.
“This baddo speaks with wisdom and adesope is a good interviewer and knows how to ask the right questions,he doesn’t asked irrelevant question.”
