Chamber of Mines to Host Marketing Expo in November

Ghana Chamber of Mines

The Ghana Chamber of Mines is gearing up to host the 2025 edition of the Mining Industry Marketing Expo (MIME), a premier event that brings together key stakeholders across the mining value chain.

Scheduled to take place from November 12-13, 2025, at the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), Tarkwa in the Western Region, MIME 2025 deems to be a dynamic platform for exploring innovative strategies to deepen local content participation and enhance value creation within the mining landscape.

Building on the success of the 2024 edition, Mining Industry Marketing Strategy (MIME) 2025 will convene mining companies, suppliers, policymakers, financial institutions, and academia to engage in discussions and activities aimed at promoting innovation, technology adoption, and opportunities for local enterprises to integrate into the mining supply chain.

According to the Chief Executive Officer, Ing. Dr. Kenneth Ashigbey, the expo will serve as another vehicle to impact and enlighten the mining industry players.

“Our goal is to ensure that the wealth generated from mining translates into real value for Ghanaians. Through MIME, we are creating a platform that connects local businesses with industry players, fosters knowledge sharing, and drives value creation within the mining ecosystem.”

A key highlight of MIME 2025 will be the Business-to-Business (B2B) matchmaking sessions, which is expected to to link local suppliers and service providers with mining companies and contractors.

“These structured engagements aim to promote deal-making, partnership development, and long-term business relationships that increase value retention within the country,” Dr. Ashigbey vowed.

The Ghana Chamber of Mines has a long and storied history in the country, playing a very crucial role in the development and growth of the country’s mining industry .

Established as the representative body for mining companies operating in Ghana, the Chamber has been at the forefront of advocating for policies and initiatives that support the industry’s sustainable growth and the creation of shared value for all stakeholders.
