ISA as a Global Catalyst for Renewable Energy

The International Solar Alliance (ISA) is a global initiative that was launched in 2015 with the aim of promoting the widespread adoption of solar power.
The alliance is composed of over 120 countries, primarily located between the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn, and it has been at the forefront of driving renewable energy initiatives across its member-states and the world at large.
The partnership between Ghana and the ISA aligns with the government’s broader efforts to diversify the country’s energy mix and increase the share of renewable energy in the power generation portfolio.
The Energy Minister’s meeting with the ISA Director-General further underscores and cements the government’s commitment to harnessing the vast potential of solar energy to address the country’s energy needs and promote sustainable development.
Supporting Energy Transition

The ISA Director-General, Mr. Ashish Khanna, reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to supporting Ghana through technical expertise, capacity building, and financial assistance.
“ISA’s commitment to supporting Ghana through technical expertise, capacity building, and financial assistance, further strengthening our shared vision of expanding access to affordable solar solutions.”
