GTBank Ghana Strengthens National Presence with Grand Opening of Ho Branch

Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Ltd, one of Ghana’s leading financial institutions, has expanded its footprint with the opening of a brand-new branch in Ho, the capital of the Volta Region.

The new branch, strategically located along Housing Road opposite the Ho New Market, officially opens its doors to the public on Friday, October 31, 2025.

This development marks another milestone in GTBank Ghana’s continuous drive to make modern, efficient, and accessible banking services available to all Ghanaians. The new branch is designed to deliver the Bank’s signature blend of innovation, speed, and customer-centric service to individuals and businesses in the region.

Speaking about the new branch, Thomas John, Managing Director of GTBank Ghana, highlighted the bank’s mission to bring convenient and high-quality financial solutions closer to communities across the country.

“Our vision has always been to make banking more accessible, simpler and faster for everyone. The launch of our Ho Branch is another important step in fulfilling that commitment — serving customers in the Volta Region and supporting local businesses to thrive.”

The Ho Branch is set to offer a comprehensive range of banking services, including personal and business accounts, loans, digital banking, and payment solutions. True to GTBank’s culture of excellence, customers can expect world-class facilities, friendly staff, and technology-driven services tailored to meet their financial needs.

Boosting Financial Inclusion in the Volta Region

The establishment of the Ho Branch aligns with GTBank Ghana’s broader vision of deepening financial inclusion. By extending operations to Ho, the bank aims to reach more unbanked and underserved populations while fostering economic growth in the Volta Region.

The new branch is expected to serve as a financial hub for the area, providing essential services for individuals, small businesses, and corporate clients. It will also enable entrepreneurs to access the credit facilities and payment systems they need to expand their operations.

According to financial experts, the presence of a reputable and innovative institution like GTBank in Ho could significantly enhance economic activity in the region by improving access to capital and supporting local enterprises.

GTBank Ghana has built a strong reputation for innovation, digital excellence, and superior customer service. The bank continues to lead the financial services industry with user-friendly digital platforms such as GTWorld and 737 Mobile Banking, which make banking simpler and more efficient.

The new Ho Branch reflects this innovation-driven philosophy. Customers can expect modern digital banking facilities designed to minimize waiting times and maximize convenience. With seamless integration between in-branch and online services, the bank ensures that clients can manage their finances with ease, wherever they are.

Beyond its digital prowess, GTBank’s customer service remains one of its strongest pillars. The Ho Branch is staffed with a team of trained professionals ready to provide personalized financial advice and solutions, ensuring that every customer enjoys the GTBank experience — a blend of professionalism, friendliness, and efficiency.

Supporting Local Businesses and Entrepreneurs

The expansion into Ho also signals GTBank Ghana’s continued commitment to empowering small and medium enterprises (SMEs), which are vital to Ghana’s economic development. By providing business accounts, credit facilities, and digital payment systems, the bank aims to help entrepreneurs formalize and scale their operations.

Mr. John emphasized that GTBank’s presence in Ho is more than just a business move; it is an investment in the community’s future.

“We believe that when local businesses grow, communities prosper. Our new branch will serve as a partner to the people and enterprises of Ho, supporting their growth with innovative products and financial expertise.”

Thomas John

GTBank Ghana’s expansion comes on the heels of several prestigious industry recognitions, underscoring its excellence in banking operations and customer service. The bank recently received accolades for “Business of the Year” and “Excellence in Customer Service of the Year” at the 2025 Ghana Business Awards.

These awards reflect GTBank’s dedication to upholding high standards of performance, governance, and innovation — values that continue to drive its growth and inspire confidence among its customers.

A Bank with a Pan-African Vision

Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Ltd is a member of Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc (GTCO Plc), one of Africa’s most respected financial groups. With operations spanning several African countries and the United Kingdom, GTCO Plc is recognized for its strong governance structure, technological innovation, and commitment to sustainable development.

GTBank Ghana’s growth strategy aligns with this Pan-African vision — bringing world-class financial services to communities across Ghana while contributing to the nation’s socio-economic progress.

As GTBank Ghana celebrates the opening of its Ho Branch, it continues to reaffirm its role as a catalyst for inclusive growth and financial empowerment. The new branch is expected to redefine the banking landscape in the Volta Region, offering individuals and businesses a trusted partner in their financial journey.

With its forward-thinking leadership, digital innovation, and community-driven approach, GTBank Ghana remains a symbol of excellence — one that continues to strengthen its national presence while empowering every community it serves.
