MTN Ghana has been honoured with six awards at the 4th Project Management Awards Ghana held in Accra.
These awards recognize MTN Ghana’s commitment to using the best project management standards and practices. MTN left the event as the only company with the highest number of awards.
The awards included the Economic Impact Award, the Project Management Company of the Year award, the Project of the Year – Western Corridor Project award, the Project Team of the Year – Fibre Project Team award, the Distinguished Contribution to Project Management award for Dario Bianchi, and the Project Director of the Year award for William Tetteh.
The Chief Capital Projects Officer of MTN Ghana, William Tetteh, won the Project Director of the Year award for the second year in a row. Mr. Tetteh was recognized for his strong leadership and contributions to achieving project goals and supporting strategic objectives.
The Chief Digital Officer of MTN Ghana, Dario Bianchi, also received the Distinguished Contribution to Project Management award for his efforts to promote excellence in project management practices in the digital space and for continuously educating staff on following proper project management practices during their digital endeavors.
In his remarks, William expressed gratitude to the organizers for the recognition and credited his team and all MTN staff for their contributions to the success of the projects.
Mr.Tetteh also thanked the suppliers and stakeholders for their support in helping MTN deliver projects on time and as scheduled.
The Chief Executive Officer, Selorm Adadevoh congratulated Dario and William for the personality awards.

Organizational Awards
MTN Ghana’s various projects were recognized at the event, and the company won the Project Management Company of the Year award for its project management standards and procedures, governance structure, and staff training.
MTN also received the Economic Impact Award for its commitment to training 100 young people in the Eastern Region in mobile phone repairs to provide employment opportunities for the youth.

The Western Corridor Fiber Capacity Expansion Project, which involved expanding transmission capacity in the Western and Western North Regions through the use of existing third-party fiber infrastructure, won both the Project of the Year and Project Team of the Year awards.
The Project Management Awards recognizes and encourages excellence in the project manager role of project delivery in/with an organization. Among other competing project managers, this is to award an individual who has demonstrated outstanding competence in the management of one or more projects.
