Ghanaian popular counselor, Counselor George Luterodt has stated that the people who embarked on the Accra To London trip have tarnished the image of Ghana.
A few weeks ago, Ghanaians woke up that some thirteen Ghanaians were traveling from Accra to London by road.
These thirteen Ghanaians were in the news and it was trending that they had successfully arrived in London after 16 days on road.
This aroused several reactions from some Ghanaians as to wherever they passed and as to how they managed to get to their destination.
A lot of Ghanaians applauded them for embarking on such a journey which was an adventurous one stating that they have raised the country’s flag high.
On the other hand, Counselor Lutterodt seems to think otherwise.
The counselor said relating to safety purposes that these people have put Ghana in a negative image by not thinking about how they could have been attacked on the way by certain groups.
He said:
“They went and successfully landed and we are thankful to God. Lies and wrong means can get people to the right places but it is not the right thing. They have gone and they have put Ghana in the negative image by risking their life. This uprising coup d’etat, rebels, someone could have just attacked and killed you. People travel from Ghana to Nigeria by road and they are being attacked”.

The counselor went ahead to say that it was a bad idea that they had to embark on such a journey without going through the right processes hence, he said they should not repeat such an action anymore.
He said:
“This is a wrong move, and if there is anything we should tell them, we should let them know that they shouldn’t repeat this again until they go through the right process. Process is very important and the fact that someone used the wrong process to get the right result does not mean you should follow.
“You should do a very important venture like this, where you want to go into record for the country. Destination exhibition, no one should try this again. The ministry should sit up, and the ambassadors should sit up”.

Accra-to-London-by-road Team Reacts to Rumours
The Ghanaian travel group Wanderlust Ghana’s attention was drawn to some claims on the internet that they were sponsored by a political party.
Ghanaians were made proud when a group of men and a lady traveled 10,000 miles from Accra to London by road.
Unfortunately, not everyone seems impressed with their epic feat and has made some accusations to that effect.
Many people were also surprised that someone could think of such allegations instead of celebrating their countrymen.
Kwabena Peprah, the mastermind of the trip, shared the truth with his comments on the matter.
Mr. Peprah shared on his Facebook page a post, saying:
“They have money to spare. They can spend it anyhow they want. But if you are working hard to make ends meet, this story has no inspiration. It is irrelevant. See two NPP people there who have made good money from contracts since Addo Dee came to power. Easy money must be spent on things like this”.

Kwabena Peprah’s response indicated that he had not received any government contracts.
He mentioned that the CEO of Kantanka Automobiles refused to meet them to discuss the journey.
According to the statement, Team lead, Kwabena Peprah, disclosed their plan was to promote made-in-Ghana brands but Kantaka’s CEO refused to meet the team.
