Guru Declares Presidential Ambition

Guru

Renowned Ghanaian artist, Guru, has shared his aspirations to become the President of Ghana.

Guru, known for his influential music career, was asked if he wanted to be the President of Ghana, to which he replied, “Yes…and I will.”

He mentioned that his desire stems from wanting to empower people and address the challenges faced by the masses.

“What it takes to be a leader is understanding what the people want, making informed decisions, and being transparent and accountable. Throughout my music career, have you ever heard of any scandals about Guru? I’ve always tried to live a life that would be a motivation to others.

“The whole purpose of the life we live is to empower people and help others. I’ve been very supportive in my community. Anyone who comes around me, I try to empower them as much as I can. So if I’m given the opportunity to lead the masses, won’t I empower them?”

Guru

Reflecting on his decision to run for SRC President at the University of Ghana, Guru explained that it was a test of his leadership abilities and a response to the challenges faced by students.

He highlighted issues such as the outdated use of ID cards, the high cost of school fees, and the lack of adequate medical facilities on campus.

Guru criticized the current system, noting that students are burdened with excessive fees for medical examinations and other services.

He proposed solutions such as implementing biometric systems to replace ID cards and establishing more accessible medical facilities on campus.

“Currently, students are paying 700 Ghana cedis for examinations. Is it for medical examinations? It doesn’t make sense to me why there should be a balance. These are students, they don’t work,” he argued.

Guru called for a reduction in fees and better support for students, emphasizing the importance of making essential services available and affordable.

Guru‘s comments come shortly after fellow Ghanaian actor Prince David Osei also expressed his desire to be the President of Ghana in the future.

Producer, Guru expressed pride in King Paluta’s growth and achievements in the music industry.

Guru shared his thoughts on the success of his former signee, King Paluta.

“People were doubting him when I brought him out,” Guru recalled.

“They were like, anytime I go on air and say, ‘Okay, my favorite artiste is King Paluta. My best rapper is King Paluta.’ They would ask, ‘Are you sure? Who is he?’ They didn’t even know. But I’m proud of him today because he’s been able to grow from whatever he was doing.”

Guru highlighted the importance of growth and finding a style that resonates with the audience, noting that King Paluta has successfully navigated this journey.

Guru made it clear that there is no bad blood between him and King Paluta who signed on to his NKZ label in 2017 and remained there for two years.

When asked if he would consider bringing King Paluta back into his fold, Guru responded, “No. Now he’s a full-grown artiste.”

Okyeame Kwame also praised King Paluta, showing admiration for his unique and authentic voice.

Despite some public criticism suggesting that King Paluta struggles to stay in key and that his voice flattens, Okyeame Kwame strongly disagrees.

With years of experience and learning from the best, including veteran Agya Koo Nimo, Okyeame Kwame explains that King Paluta’s voice best suits his music style.

He believes King Paluta has control of his voice, and his vocal style is both unique and authentic.

King Paluta’s music conveys deep emotions, reflecting his pain, hustle, and upbringing.

Okyeame Kwame emphasizes that every human has a unique voice that shouldn’t conform to societal expectations, and King Paluta’s distinct style is a testament to his talent.

King Paluta’s ability to convey deep emotions through his music resonates with listeners, making his releases worthy of topping the charts.

Okyeame Kwame’s endorsement adds significant weight to King Paluta’s growing reputation in the music industry.
