Elijah Kwame Owusu Danso, newly nominated as the Vice-Presidential candidate for Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen’s independent presidential campaign, has promised to dedicate himself entirely to securing a win in Ghana’s 2024 elections.

In an official statement released today, Owusu Danso expressed his profound appreciation for being entrusted with such a critical role in the campaign, acknowledging the significance of the responsibility.

“This is not just a moment of honour for me, but a call to action. I am fully committed to working tirelessly, alongside Alan Kyerematen, to ensure that our vision for a transformed Ghana is realized. We are in this to win, and I will give my all to make that happen.”

Owusu Danso’s nomination is seen as a pivotal step in strengthening Alan Kyerematen’s non-partisan campaign. After parting ways with the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alan Kyerematen has positioned himself as an independent candidate, seeking to transcend traditional party boundaries.

His selection of Owusu Danso as his running mate is viewed as a strategic move, aimed at consolidating broader national support and energizing the campaign as it enters a crucial phase.

Owusu Danso, a well-known figure within Ghana’s business and political spheres, is widely regarded as a capable and driven leader, with a deep commitment to public service. His professional experience, combined with his passion for national development, aligns with Kyerematen’s vision of a reformist movement aimed at transforming Ghana’s political landscape.

Campaign Pushes for Unity and Transformation

At the heart of the Movement for Change and Alliance for Revolutionary Change campaign is a vision to reshape Ghana’s political and economic systems.

Alan Kyerematen and Owusu Danso are advocating for reforms aimed at promoting national unity, reducing inequality, and driving sustainable economic growth. Their campaign seeks to rally citizens across the country to break away from the conventional, often polarized political structure, which they argue has limited Ghana’s potential for progress.

“We must leave no stone unturned in our effort to bring about the political and economic transformation that Ghanaians deserve.

“I am committed to campaigning relentlessly, engaging with the youth, professionals, and ordinary citizens alike to ensure Alan Kyerematen is elected as President.”

Owusu Danso has repeatedly emphasized the need for widespread political and economic transformation, stating that Ghana stands at a historic crossroads. His vision includes the creation of a government that transcends partisan divides and is inclusive of all citizens.

Owusu Danso expressed his determination to engage directly with the people, traveling across the nation to ensure their message of hope and transformation resonates with voters.

“Our mission is clear: to build a government of national unity that will deliver on its promises and transform our nation for the better.

“I will work day and night to ensure that every Ghanaian understands this vision and rallies behind Alan Kyerematen. There is no turning back, and I will not rest until we achieve success.”

For Owusu Danso, this opportunity represents not just a personal milestone but a crucial juncture for the nation. His unwavering resolve to work around the clock to spread the campaign’s message has further solidified his commitment to the cause.

His efforts to engage with citizens across the country will likely play a crucial role in determining the campaign’s success as the race intensifies.
